Well, I am curious as to how many are so anxious to have the first new Gen V. The naysayers might be wrong and the new 2013 Viper is such a hit that the factory and dealers sell out their first year pretty quickly! Then those who put in a deposit won't miss out. I'm certainly not in that camp...
Perhaps with the new Conner plant setup, parts to assembly times or the turnaround time can be pretty quick. Perhaps the OP can tell us how quick he can turn around a drawing into production parts to the factory floor.
The green stuff would require too much water - already a problem to the area. Wouldn't working with the natural terrain as best as could be done and perhaps unique to "The Cacturgring Sandschleife" be enough?
Geez, what a tought crowd! I thougt the above rendering looked pretty good. What will the car weigh? It doesn't need much hp more than the Ford's 650 - that's in a 4000 lb car! Turbo V8 - I can see a turbo 6.4 generating more hp than a V10 but it may weigh more. That 800 hp V10 is a race...
Isn't the Indy 500 still America's #1 auto racing venue? Then that's where as a pace car the Viper would be great advertising for SRT. Le Mans, - that's where the Viper should compete to tell the world "I'm faster and I can last."
In each of these cases, the new upgraded car came out close to the price point of the previous generation. Why would one buy a used one close to the price of a new one that is a better car especially in a soft market where new ones can be had at great financing/rebates? I think the argument...
Good thread - appreciate your contribution to a mod not easily done - getting truly good sound out of the Viper sound system. Amp location under the passenger was not good?
9' should be sufficient - go to the lift websites and they can tell you minimum garage heights. I know some of them said 88 in which is less than 9 ft. It also depends on what you are stacking - the vehicle heights.
Some whistling in the dark going on here: Let's say it does get priced over 110K. How do you know it won't be worth that or that there are better alternatives? If you can't afford it, that's a different issue. I'm sure it will be a great performance value as it always has been. If the price...
I was very intrigued by the 2002 GTS/ACR? but didn't pull out the wallet. I was floored by the 2003; was driving a 2001 C5 Vette/Vert at the time. Two years later the wallet came out. Same might happen with the Gen V.
TonyCool,
I've had three of them on the street - both feet in (brakes and clutch) is the only thing that worked for me before I bought a Quaife that did anything worth a beans with the throttle lifting technique. Best thing is avoiding it by making sure you don't hammer the car below 60F and...
1. Make the Viper shorter and reduce the polar moment which would improve handling. This would make a shorter hood - would we like that? So many are saying the V10 defines the Viper (I disagree) but I think its look has a lot to do with it. The long hood as dictated by the V10 does have a...
