Well mine broke today. I feel like I lost everything, my wife thinks she just earned some new found quality time:rolaugh: Instead I will be spending more time trying to fix it ASAP:D
put cam sensor in......still nothing, checked fuel pressure and had nothing. so on a whim I decided to put gas in tank. I put 1 gallon of gas in and all of a sudden i had pressure:omg: Long story short the car started i drove it to gas station and filled it up. Took 15.6 gallons so I know...
Love the car and the rims probably are great looking but with the black you just can c what they look like. I dont know but im glad everyone has different choices or we all look like a bunch of fruits with the same aftermarket rims. If you ditched the run flats when you bought these you have...
you should have seen the look on my face when i pulled the sensor out :O Im like wtf could have hit that? Believe it or not i checked the forum and not one topic on gauging cam sensor. I did look. I dont have fuel pressure at the rail now so im hoping that since i destroyed the cam sensor...
Steve-- thanks for the heads up about it being more complex to change, but if i didnt shear off the front of the sensor it would have been a easy swap!! :)
Where do I start....lol MarcRoth- car just died while normal driving, started to sputter and would not accelerate then shut down. Had car towed. Checked for spark that was good, checked for fuel at rail that was good, ran scanner gave me a p0320. Changed out crank sensor and still nothing...
Kcobean---- I will keep this updated and let you know and I hope your wrong:) I ordered a Cam Sensor and will not have it till Friday so I will put it on then.
ok...update, not the crank sensor,,,crawled my ass under there, switched it out and nothing:( This is after getting the code po320 from the computer. So now I have a po340 code also. This does suck!
looking for sensor on my 03, was thinking it would be on the front of motor by crank but dont seem to c it. Hopefully not on back of motor. I have it on the ground and can not get it in the air real easy because of car being lowered and not running to drive up on 2x6's. So any info would be...
Im also thinking I just had to change out the power steering pump so maybe I messed with something when switching pumps. Im not sure where the crank sensor is but im assuming near the crank, so who knows maybe I hit something loose. I did drive the car on a 1100 mile trip after I switched out...
Did not throw a code...........I checked spark with the screw driver trick on both banks and had a great blue spark on both. Check fuel pressure with just pushing in the valve after cycling the key and had good pressure. I will get a true reading tomorrow. I was hoping not to see a spark but...
Driving along (2003) and seemed like someone pulled all the plug wires...hit gas and it just barely accelerates then coasted off road and now won't start and sometimes it fires but large amount of black
Smoke comes out exhaust and smells like unburnt fuel.....I'm thinking coil? Anyone want to...
Go with a matte finish. I also would never do all black. You need a lip to offset color or from 20' away it will look like another person said 4 spare tires. I have forgeline with a matte finish graphite and a chrome 3.5 lip on the rear and sometimes when i approach the car from afar it looks...
Update, steering pump was bad, I had to get one through the dealer all last minute, so I paid 315.00 plus tax for just the part and switched it out at my house. Pump looked to be leaking around front bearing. The new pump did not come with pulley so had to hit autozone for a power steering...
Did feel like reading all the posts, but my 03 the fan assembly was bad on mine when the car had 4K miles. It would vibrate like a SOB when fans kicked on. Had it replaced under warranty
So if you have some vibration in the wheel I would say its not normal and the fan assembly has something...
20K miles and have always used tire form or similar product but the backs of the wheels still are not perfect due to rocks etc...... I have noticed thou using products on the tire wells attract more dust!
Update---- Put car on lift and noticed the front of the power steering pump has a leak. So time to buy a new one and switch it out so I can leave on the Hot Rod power tour Wednesday
Ok, i topped off the power steering with about 3-4 ounces and then started car up, sounded like "something" was making a real funny sound and got louder when rpm's went up. I was under hood looking while opening the TB and could not locate. anyways figure I would take it for a drive and c if...
