Get another one from Mopar/JonB or someone else, send it here; Carroll Shelby Merchandise and he will sign it for you. You send in a "donation" and all the proceeds go to the Shelby Childrens Heart Foundation, and when you get it back trade it out for the one you already have. If you have an...
Dan, I'm in Vegas, but will be moving to Texas in the very near future. Is there any point in sending you my PCM now or should I just wait until I get to Texas? How much of a difference will altitude play on a tune?
What is a Veteran?
Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye.
Others may carry the evidence inside them: a pin holding a bone together, a piece of shrapnel in the leg - or perhaps another sort of inner steel: the soul's ally...
I had a leak and took it into the dealership and was told it was a leak in the rack. I dug a little deeper myself and found out it was one of the high pressure hoses that go from the power steering resevoir to the rack. Wipe the hoses with a clean cloth and check it for fluid. Think about how...
Sweet! For those of you that don't know Cindi, she is pretty much the nicest person to ever walk this planet (as long as you are not on the track driving against her) and drives a Viper in the SPEED World Challenge GT Series.
Brakes are a no brainer, contact JonB, Dave or someone else that has a good reputation for standing behind their products. Do you really want to trust your life and your Viper to some mass produced, Wal-Mart quality crap just to save a few dollars?
I was planing on doing the whole Tom Cruise thing and dropping down out of the ceiling (insert Mission Impossible music here) and taking it between the guards smoke break at 3:41 in the morning. I have a can of pre-production invisible paint (James Bond kind of stuff) from the new F-35 so I'm...
I have a 96 GTS and after driving the Gen III and IV it opened my eyes to how crappy the early Vipers brakes really are. I upgraded to 14" Stop Techs (thanks JonB!) and I'm still jealous. The newer Viper (2001 and up) is the best of both new and old and is a beast. My ultimate car would be a Gen...
WARNING...this thread is about deviate from original message...
I doubt you'll have to twist their arm to hard. We all know they want to put it into production, but the economy and sale of the company probably put a huge damper on things. Dodge has been a thorn in GM's side since the Viper...
From what I've heard, if you don't have a computer that has been reflashed to take advantage of the higher octane fuel than you are simply wasting your money. If you have seen posts about how someone got 500hp on 91 octane and 575 on race fuel, than they have probably spent a lot of time on a...
A few of the local guys are getting together at Tony Roma's (I think on the 5th) and the more the merrier. Let me know if you're interested and I get you the specifics.

My first car was a '72 'Cuda, and I still have it. Between my father, brother and I we've got:
2 Caravans
96 Viper
05 SRT-10 Ram
05 Hemi Quadcab
2000 Dakota
70 AAR Cuda
71 Cuda 340 convertible
72 Cuda 340
72 Challenger
My uncle is a Dodge dealer and I cannot think of a time in my life when...
I was wondering how rare this car is? I have one, but I'm looking for another for a friend. I haven't seen one on eBay in a long time, so I'm looking to see if someone has an extra they might part with.
I took these at VOI X and the tours all seemed a little hurried so I didn't get a chance to ask. The cars that were being assembled had the 6-spoke '09 Viper rims, so I would guess the body panels were for those cars.
There was a really incredible shade of blue on a few Vipers at the CAAP (I think the name was BASF "bright blue"...paint code GBC PBC) that changed from a blue metallic to a hue of purple as you got closer.
I went to a Viper Days and was told that all that ugly black stuff (break dust) on the rims means the pads are working. I had ECB dustless pads, but after hearing that I changed my priorities and now I would rather be able to stop. It seems like I wash the car each time before I drive it anyway...
Sorry about the red "X" but I've never posted a piture using a URL. I set up an account on photobucket and pasted the address, but I got the red X. Anyone know how to make it appear as a picture?
I got the car from eBay, but with only 24 produced they're going to be hard to find.
