I would not touch that with a 10 foot pole, with all the legitimate places you can buy a Viper in the USA why would you do that???? Even if its free, you know you are going to get screwed in the end.
Thank you Chris for the feed back, sounds great, That is my next job on my car, You did it fast, the seat has to come out, is that right. It will take me 20 min just to jack the car up:Dor the seat unbolts from the top and I do not have to jack it up. Happy Easter.
Chris thanks for the info. It seems like it would put the seat all the way back to, I hope, I need all the room I can get. I was thinking of just taking the seat out completely and sitting on a pillow, that way my back would have at least 4 inches more room and be much lower and still have seat...
There is a special tool to remove the fuel pump. And its easy to screw up the seal. If you are in the US there is at least 10% ethanol and evaporates very fast.
That is so cool, wait till you see it in person, you will be blown away. I remember when Woodhouse delivered my Viper, when they backed it out of the truck it was AWESOME. have fun.:2tu:
You are so right, Viper owners are our worst enemy, when ever any body sees my car at a show or in the garage they think its worth 100k plus and are totally taken back how cool it is. Stop taking your car for granted.
Jeff I have a 1999 GTS what is unconnect.:D I am kind of lost with the new stuff.:)And just for the record I just changed the battery for the first time in 16 years, not that it was dead has always been on a tender, just figured after 16 years better change the battery and tires even though...
Mobil 1 is good, its like the chevy of Synthetics. Look into Amsoil or Royal Purple they are much better at cutting friction which = more power to the wheels. When I had my shop we dynoed 100s of cars to prove it. A Viper will pick up 9 to 14 hp just from switching to Amsoil. Which is a fact not...
Do not blame the car, blame the bad mechanics and the dealer that have been working on your car. When it is correctly diagnosed and fixed the car will be awesome, like it should be.
I have every Viper Mag from the first one, so if I look, one of them on the front cover is going to say Sam Goldfarb. If I have to page through each one, that's not going to happen. Anyway that's cool Sam that you were in the Magazine.
