Me too. Took it to redline in 4th gear Twice.:D Car feels rock solid! Much smoother on PS2's though.
I've since put 3.55's in to slow me down. Now 4th gear only gets me to about 135-140.:dunno:
I can't speak for the Gen1&2 cars, but on the SRT's the speed sensor is in the diff housing, so I've been told. It automatically adjusts - no calibration needed.:D
I've got 3.55's in my '06 coupe and I love them. MUCH improved over the stock 3.07!
As mentioned above, 6th gear can now be used. Even at 60mph it has plenty of pull.
My car is closer to stock than others (DC Tune, Green Filters, Corsa Track, 3.55's), but 1st gear is much more fun now! At...
I did 3.55's on my '06 and I really like them. Much improved on the street. Especially in slow situations through town and parking lots, but also on the highway where I can actually use 6th gear without doing 75mph. Now I can click it in 6th at about 60 and have plenty of power to cruise.
I've...
One thing I found that is very important with this car (also when I had my SRT Ram) is make sure you are on a level surface when checking the oil. A slight angle side to side, or front to back, seems to make a big difference on the dipstick.
I just changed my oil and filter a few weeks back...
Yep - Ratchet would be the way to go. I don't remember having an issue with removing bolts when I did mine.
Biggest problem I had was getting the seat out, then back in, to my Coupe!:omg:
Nah...
I'm sure you get more than your share of heat down your way, but how's the humidity in Texas?
Up here it sucks. It just takes the fun out of everything outside, IMO. Spring & Fall are my favorite times of year. I can handle the 80 and 90 degree temps when the humidity is low, but...
Problem is I have no desire to drive my Viper like a 'sissy-bitch'. Plus I'm too lazy to clean it after driving in the rain (It's Black BTW;)). On top of that, I'd rather drive it with the AC OFF and windows down, and Vipers do get kinda toasty in 90+degree heat & humidity.
It's my Toy. That's...
We'll be getting out first 'Heat Wave' this weekend, and beyond --- 90+ degree Temps and plent of humidity. As always with this weather, a chance of T-Storms as well.
My Viper is parked for the time being...:(
I know of an Supercharged SRT Ram on the Viper Truck Club of America ( Viper Truck Club of America ). I think it's around 3,700 miles. Serious power and Great price too!
Not sure exactly where you are located, but I got mine done at Bergey's Tire in Franconia, PA. On the corner of Rt. 113 and Allentown Road.
I'm certainly no expert, but they told me they have the ONLY tire machine in the area specifically made for our types of wheels and tires (runflats too)...
