I think you need a '96 white/blue for your collection. Nice job on the flooring. I used 16" ceramic tiles in my basement and I agree with your comments about ceramic tile. In hindsight, I should have used 12" tiles because the 16's were heavy and hard to align.
I do find it quite odd that I received my subscription version (signed up last year through Amazon.com) before my member version. This came priority mail, which should be 3 days, or less (Ohio isn't that far).
I just had PS2s installed on my car. 0609 on the fronts and 0909 on the rears. They came from TireRack's Delaware warehouse. I'm thrilled with the ride and I'm sure they were properly stored. The only downside is that it's harder to do burnouts. :lmao:
I recently started looking at this product: Peel & Stick Floor Tile | Vinyl Press and Stick | Durable Garage Tile Flooring
Kelly, their annimated gif shows yellow/black so you can see what it will look like (umm, block out the Porsche :omg:).
There are links to the online vendors at the...
I received my new Viper magazine today along with a nice calendar (good to see PA's own viper67 in there). The magazine is very nice quality and has some great content. I'm looking forward to the cover story about one of my favorite performers.
What I didn't find though is the voting ballot...
Congrats on the new ride. Pictures!!!
As far as I know, the term McViper only applied to the red '96 RT/10s with yellow wheels. For '97, there were only 14 GTSs with yellow wheels.
I was looking at the Maisto Classic Collection insert and was surprised to find that Maisto is owned by May Cheong Toy Products. Just thought it was interesting given they bought Bburago.
I'm glad someone brought this up. I thought it was oil spots getting up there from a underside leak and then the dirt was sticking to it. I'm glad to see it is a common issue simply based on airflow.
On the Gold Collezione and Bijoux Colleczione boxes, it says "The Bburago trademarks are the properties of the May Cheong Group of companies" and they are Made in China. All the others say Made in Italy.
Just an FYI on the display cases. Michael's has a 25% off entire order for display cases. The coupon is on their website (click on weekly ad).
UPDATE: I just noticed the coupon doesn't start until Sunday (3/13). It isn't this weeks ad.
My yellow/red has a brighter yellow than the all-yellow car. Oddly, the picture on the back of the yellow/red box shows Gen I wheels, but the car has Gen II wheels. My yellow/red with Gen I wheels will arrive next week.
The red/silver I have is from the "Gold Collezione" and is slightly...
Yes, I emailed a seller about 2 cars listed. With shipping it was about $156 USD. I asked for a package deal/combined shipping and she said, "no, too expensive to ship". :(
I was told that a neighbor in my development was "upset" that I got a Viper. He had a Porsche in his garage the 7 years I've lived here. I noticed last week that the Porsche is gone. Coincidence, or something more? ;)
According to scale18.com, there are two:
BBURAGO 3325 1998 Dodge Viper RT/10 silver TRU France exclusive - Scale18 1/18 Scale Diecast Model Cars, Since 1997
BBURAGO 3325 1993 Dodge Viper RT/10 silver 3 spokes wheels - Scale18 1/18 Scale Diecast Model Cars, Since 1997
There are 252 vipers listed on the scale18.com site. I like the way they are described. You can see that several were made for specific countries or specific companies. I have noticed that some of the more exotic variations, especially airbrushed ones, are avaialble on international ebay site...
Thanks for the link. I picked up:
yellow/red RT/10 with Gen I wheels
silver/blue GTS
red, silver, and yellow SRT/10's
By the way, this place has great customer service. I just received a personal email from them about my order (late Sunday night). He answered a question I asked, so I know...
I added the following this past week:
A strange one. Description/box says GTS, but the car is an RT/10 and seller swears it was never removed from box. I bought it just in case there was a factory mess-up. MOPAR 1:18 DODGE VIPER GTS COUPE 1996 RED BURAGO - eBay (item 110654352474 end time...
Apparently Bburago also has a solid white RT/10 in 1:24 size. There is one on ebay for $20 + s/h. I'm skipping it for now and will probably regret it since that's the only white one I've seen.
In 1:24, I have a Bburago solid red GTS with gold wheels, a Bburago white/blue RT/10, and the AMT/ERTL 3-packs (McViper, white/blue, black/silver). These are plastic and I'm guessing about the 1:24 size. I purchased several packs from a guy just to have them.
I primarily focus on the 1:18...
A guy in Ohio has 2 sets (he wants $3500 for a set with center caps). I think I'm sitting pretty good right now unless a deal comes by that is too good to pass up.
I bought a full set of used ones in Canada just last weekend. I have 3 brand new fronts, so still watching for new rears. The 4 on ebay now are priced too high. I'll wait.
