    Traceability on a 2004 SRT

The proper terminology is that youre looking for your cars "Provenance" (its provable history) and want to purchase a reproduction "Monroney" (the legally required window sticker.) However, if you think $150 is too much to spend on documentation you may have bought the wrong car. The club...

Who wants un-obtainium garage art for fundraiser?

I know you said PM, but it may help to provide more detail. From that pic I cant tell what it is - is it bigger than a cufflink? Is it from Dodge? Metal? I would love some nice wall art for my garage, but its not worth my time if we're talking a $10,000 collection...

Thinking about purchasing a rebuilt title 2006 Viper, what do you think?

Most insurance companies are required to rebuild a car with new factory (or factory equivilant) parts. Therefore a cracked hood on any Gen1/2 is at least $20,000 if (and "if" is the important word in this sentence) they can even find one. Add in facia ($4000) side sills ($5000/ea) wheels...

Thinking about purchasing a rebuilt title 2006 Viper, what do you think?

To most car guys a "rebuilt" car is usually worth less than a wrecked car (adjusted for added parts value) simply because once a car is put back together and repainted a decent body-guy can hide severe, untreated damage VERY easily. If you dont know the damage, or the history, or the guy who did...

Casting a new TV show on a Major Network - are you interested?

I dont think Ive seen a more suspicious website in all my life... A guarenteed chance of winning $100,000 isnt even worth the risk of providing all that info, let alone a chance to be given a chance, to possibly be on a show, that frankly isnt likely to happen... I'll pass...

I've been trying to find my family's 96 GTS for 8+ years.

Why? ... second thought, nevermind... dont care... As someone who recently hunted down his first jeep, and keeps track of all his favorite past rides, I will offer this bit of advice: dont waste your time until you have the cash (not loan, not credit, CASH) in hand and are ready to buy. You...

    GTS vs ACR

Theres certainly a difference, but I cant imagine a $20,000 premium on a used GTS-ACR. Maybe $5,000 depending on the colour combo. The BBS wheels and OEM 5pnt harness are the two main pieces that would hold value - most have been removed for racing so a complete package is getting rare... but...

96 gts #7. rare? whats it worth?

Knowing the history of a car and proving the history of a car are two very different things in the marketplace. I knew for a fact that my GTS was driven previously by a little old lady who only drove it to the post office to get stamps... turns out it was Zoomie, and the stamps were all over the...

Looking for a Viper V10 (or RAM SRT10) engine for a Jeep (yes, Jeep) project.

Im just relaying what others have said about the motors in both towing and rock climbing; theyre not impressive under heavy load at low RPM. Thats why we never saw a proper V10 tow vehicle and/or 4x4 coming out of the factory. The RamSRTQC only had a 7500# limit - the base V8 had 8800# of the...

Looking for a Viper V10 (or RAM SRT10) engine for a Jeep (yes, Jeep) project.

Both Ram V10s and Gen1,2,3,4,RamSRT Viper V10s are plentiful online if you dig around, but the aluminum blocks wont come cheap. Theyre big, heavy, and will require ALOT of fabrication and plumbing on a 4.0L Brute/JKU Chassis. The only successful swap I know of was on a CJ7 and, if I remember...

96 gts #7. rare? whats it worth?

If I remember correctly the only sequential VINs were on the 1998 GT2s. Its an interesting number for sure, but I dont think it was the 7th built either GTS or 1996. That being said I think the VIN would only be a sellng point to someone who doesnt understand automotive assembly (ie, not a car...

To sell or not to sell

I have this argument with so-called "car guys" all the time - if youre afraid to drive it, then its not worth having. At the end of the day its just a car. I think its the prettiest, most fun car Ive yet encountered, but its still a car. 6,000 miles is hardly a collectable, and youre getting...

    * * * ((( NEW VIDEO ))) * * * 2017 Dodge Viper Special Editions ......

Its the proper display of the flag for the passenger of the car. On a military (or civilian government uniform) the flag is supoosed to "flutter" away from the persons line of site. If the flag is displayed on the left shoulder the "patriotism" (as it were) blows the flag in the way you would...

Where do you think the '17 VOI should be held?

To me the race and cruise venues are fun, but they require a lot of work (funding, planning, insurance, ect...) The most fun I had at a viper event was the New Brunswick ZR - Hotel, Drag Strip, AutoX... rain... No schedule to keep, and heaps of fun under 120mph. Saddly Ive already scheduled...

Where do you think the '17 VOI should be held?

Personally, Id rather drive cross country for a geniune meeting of enthusists than a rubber-stamped sales convention. The only real problem with lack of people is agreeing to a venue we all can afford. Some past VOIs ran better than $2m and i dont have that kind of cash laying around right now...

Are there any all season tires?

Its not that we dont understand it, its that youre asking for your cake and to eat it too. I mean I would love for my Viper to get 600hp AND 70mpg, its just not in the cards with current technology. Realistically I would find it hard to believe there would be a comparable difference between the...

    My 6 figure car

If I thought my baby would be safe at work (and I didnt have an unkept dirt road to drive on to get there) there is no question in my mind that my GTS would be my daily driver. Id still have my Ram or Jeep for snow/salt though... If I were to get a new GT2 it would have to be a daily since I...

    Color/last model?

No, the sheer level of sales put into that ad is a thing to behold. If you read it carefully there's not a whole lot of info for the amount of words put into it. I bet the 5-gallons is factory fill and its on the build sheet because of fuel taxes across state lines. Any time I take my truck...
