I have had this issue to. One thing that is confusing is why there is a step 4. Can't you just sit in the driver's seat and do both sides of vehicle at the same time?
Thanks to this thread, I can't believe the difference in the finish on my Viper. Under heavy lights I was surprised how many swirl marks I had.
A buddy and I spent 16 hours Saturday on the it. Clay bar, M105, M205, and Synthetic Sealant. While this was a lot of time, I think I be a lot...
Junkman - Talked to Meguiars a few minutes ago and they recommended the following after the M205. They recommended the M07 Show Glaze then do Synthetic Sealant.
Since you did not mention the M07 and I don't always trust the advice of business who also sells the product....do you agree or is...
Good post twister. :2tu:
Ever heard of the High School Syndrome? You know how it was in high school.... everything valued was superficial. So when you have something nicer, the response is to put you down to help them feel better.
That is what is going on IMHO with these immature...
Junkman - I have taken your advice to move to the 2 bucket system. Seems like common sense anyway.
Also I have a some light swirl marks and plan to use some M205. Once that is done.....what wax or polish should be applied. I have some Meguiars NXT that I thought was appropriate.
Clearly I understand our lack of interest for Vettes. That was not the purpose of the posting.
The siting was a late model Vette hauling treated 2x6 lumber sticking forward out about 8' beyond and laying on windsheild frame. It was comical to see the this one used as a truck. Can you...
Last weekend I posted Corvette siting I had on the road Saturday morning and mysteriously that posting disappeared.
If I did something wrong, I would appreciate a private note of explanation. :dunno:
Junkman...I had a black 79 Vette and used a product called 3M Fill N Glaze. I applied with a soft cotton diaper it either took out the swirl marks or filled them that I could not see. Any experience with this product? And what do you think?
Great thread.
When you dry the car and use Zaino's blonde borderless towels, do you use one towel, rinse and wring. The towels are so small, 16" X 16" it seems it would take a lot of towel to dry the car if you used only till soaked.
Help Junkman!
I think the issue with the mine was the fact that only 110 Challengers were made with Hemi's in my year. It was a rarity. It was the only car that I sold that made a profit for me. :)
I sold after 17 years in 1987 for $11K. It was in good original shape with barely 60K miles. However if I...
Sometimes you just have to give it up. The worst experience I ever had in quality was my 70 Dodge Challenger with a Hemi, pardon me if I say and compare to the Viper, but this was Dodge's flagship of speed then. This engine was a disaster of quality and I was not abusive. The rest of vehicle...
Trekk before I bought my 03 in April I called the local Dodge dealer and asked to speak to their one and only Viper tech. I went out to meet him personally. He essentially confirmed what you heard on the forums. The Viper is very reliable. He rarely works on one except for maintenance. He...
