Ii have always been a huge fan of yellow on the Viper. Both cars are so sweet. Thanks for the pictures. I have save them to my hard drive just so I recall if I need to.
The new 2011 Mustangs really ROCK. Even the V6 at 305HP is a great car. While I was not a Mustang fan in 70's I am now. (I owned at 70 Hemi Challenger) From what I read compared to the comp, Mustang really sizzles on the track and handles well even with it live axle. If I was doing a pony car...
I saw on the news last night that the illegals in AZ are protesting being treated like illegals. Imagine that. I have never heard that word before ViperTony....but it says it all and is right on.
On the 70 Challenger they also had the color called "Plum Crazy". Color looks the same then as now.
When the 70 Hemi Challenger was reviewed by Car and Driver (or was it Motor Trend) they referred to that Plum Crazy Challenger as Ghengis Grape. Thought that was funny and appropriate.
I agree you made the right choice on the offer. An 03 with 50K miles is worth more in the low 30's. And it was repainted for a reason. I would want to know why.
While the color appears okay on the car, it did look more of a blueish purple. To me the color was not strong enough to be placed...
Wikkid, I am still interested in knowing more about the paint. I did not know Duplicolor did non spray containers of paint. Where did you buy the can? Did you choose a high temp version?
Thanks for the Vid.
At the end of the day, most view the ZR1 for just another Corvette. I much rather have the Hiss affect of Viper. So cool. The car is always turning heads....even my stock 03.
I often say that different is not necessarily an improvement.
If the wheels came from the factory without a clear coat....we'd all be hissed and think what was Dodge thinking. But then again we could have a thread about how to best clear our wheels. :rolaugh:
DIY. I did the antifreeze last week. Easiest I have ever encountered. And yes it is a good learning experience.
I found a thread that lead me to Ebay to buy the new shop manuals for about $40. Well worth it.
