Re: Flame suits on, here\'s my question
Tony, was that my Viper or my TT you saw miles away? If it was the Viper I was in front of you, if it was the TT I was behind you...LOl...you know I had to do it!
Now Joe, I did some calculations and I think with 460 HP it is possible......work with me on this....A 3300 lb Viper.....Right? and 460 HP to the rear wheels...right?....and a 180 mile per hour tail wind.....Right?..hey 10 second machine in my book....LOL...
Re: Flame suits on, here\'s my question
A stealth TT with a few mods runs close to a Viper? You must be kidding, right? I had a TT car and NO WAY IT COMES EVEN CLOSE TO MY VIPER!!!!!
Show us the time slip......thats my reply....then tell him to meet you at the track Joe, I am sure you can show him what a REAL 11.17 is and then some....
In a stock car you will never hit that speed of over 200. Did you reclaibrate the speedo when you changed gears? Most likely you lost speed at top end with the bigger gears. Too compensate the gear change you will need more HP too over come the 200 MPH barrier,
Don't everyone gets nuts that yellow was available years ago...IT WASN"T! Dan's car was a black viper, with silver stripes. I know him well, as we work out at the same gym. Actually met him as I have a 96 black and silver Rt/10. As I was working out one day I saw the car drive out of the lot...
Good Data Aquisition systems have these sensors to monitor tire temps, or brake temps. The big problem is the masses just have no experience with driving a car with 500 lbs or torque and too easily get in trouble.
Only the best way to solve the problem is put in an Accusump. It will pre lube the entire system plus if you are on banks and the oil sloshes to one side with the factory oil pan the Accusump will kick in and lubricate the engine untill oil builds up in the pan. Call SEAN ROE! For Around $300...
You can't runHoosiers on the street. As they heat up, they will pick up every peice of sand and stones on the road. You will be shooting stones everywhere from the tires. It seems like you need to lower air pressure on the street tires if you plan on racing and launch from low RPM's.
Has anyone replaced the factory bushings with Delrin type bushings? How do you like them? Where can you get them and the cost? Any help is appreciated.
Just saw on the race site that the Lemans series handed out 1.7 million in price money. It also said a portion, not big enough, went to the American Viper Racing Team. Way to go guys. Now if they can get some real race tires maybe we can kick some Vette asp....I hear that is a major factor to...
Is it because he has too many bad debts that we couldn't afford to buy HMS? Sounds like from the Vette forum the same thing I have seen on this forum. Seems like an awful lot of unhappy customers? For someone with such a great reputation in the magazine covers, behind the scene seems like an...

It seems that the post started with someone saying HMS took $ 34,000.00 and only sent the guy $ 600 in parts. Care to elaborate John? It seems like a good offense here is to offer a good defense? We all seem to hear the protests but never hear from HMS, defending itself. If nothing else it makes...
And I thought some of us Viper owners were pi**ed about Jh and his problems, seems a few Vette Boys may get physical with him...too bad a guy with so much talent has so many problems.
The wife is gonna kill me but I am itchin for Viper # 3.....The comp coupe might just have to go to the top of my christmas wish list. Now how to get her to pay for it?....
While it is tough to find engine builders for the V-10, plenty of engine builders out there for a Hemi. I think for drag racing engines, there are a lot of cheaper ways with more HP out there than going to DC.
SCCA says no to Chrome molley in the Viper, as the weight is closer to 3300 lbs, chrome mollay is not allowed. I am told they will fail a viper in that class with Chrome molley.
