Newbie Questions; maybe going from Porsche to viper

I just sold one of my (24) cars today. I find it difficult to sell cars with the economy as it is, so good luck. While you're selling get a ride or two in a couple of Vipers and decide how much power you want to handle, if you want the ACR's $12,000 shocks, which exhaust, which generation...

So I Went to Get My New Tires Mounted This Morning and it Just Goes to Show...

I believe that the tires have a coating that keeps them fresh until the coating wears off. Ted

Probably one of the "bracketing" options in the camera and then using Digital Pro Picture/DPP for the manipulations. I also have several canon dslrs, lenses etc. Ted

Newbie Questions; maybe going from Porsche to viper

Although there are quite a few 1100-2200rwhp Vipers that have been built I've never heard of any other machine that can easily make over 1,000rwhp. I think that says a lot right there. 700n/a is also not u nusual for a Viper engine. My GTS has a few mods and over 720rwhp with nearly...

DC Performance doesn't just do Vipers

Since Dan is on this thread - what's the highest output FGT you know of? I've seen a few 1,000rwhp FGTs on TV and one in Calgary runs 900rwhp with Nitrous. What's biggest Ford hp? Ted

Is this factory paint on a 99 ACR??

my 2000 ACR has clear rock guard and it's across the whole front. Your silver/blue looks like the paint is a rough finish Ted

Newbie Questions; maybe going from Porsche to viper

    Starting problem

Whenever it's a "whenever" electrical problem it usually means a bad electrical connection. Besides the starter and the key there are a LOT of electrical connections in your car. Most often it is the battery cables or ground (as already stated). Lucky that our cars do have decent connectors...

Would you support a V8 Viper?

I love the 8L plus and I still believe that there is no substitute for cubic inches. I wouldn't buy a V8 Mustang of V8 vette as many said they would if the Viper got a V8 - Dodge wouldn't drop the world's fastest production car title just to build a "wanna be" sports car. Dodge always builds...

Newbie Questions; maybe going from Porsche to viper

Repairs? Hopefully no repairs needed. I usually do several thousand worth of mods each year. I bought a modified supercharged Viper and added bigger brakes, extreme lightweight wheels, stereo speakers, Blue tooth tech, nav, built in radar detector, HID lights, Titanium rear axles, TPMS...

Took advantage of a track rental...analyze my run!

Your 60' at 1.8 is an awesome time, congrats. I think that 11.4 is pretty good time for a base Paxton on street tires. Ted

    M&H RaceMaster DR's Review

I have 'solid' rear axles. Titanium shafts between 2 yokes. Stock weight. Since you've got a Paxton you might want to just buy the 800hp strong tube axles. Less than half price. Find a nice, wide, quiet street and pratise. Ted

Would you support a V8 Viper?

I misunderstood you Jim, sorry. The Ford GT was great, but although it was Dodge that started the FI with the Turbo Daytonas and Shebly Chargers - Ford went small, overhead cams, 3 and 4 valve and then the first comestic supercharged V8. Unfortuntely the FGT didn't last long. Dodge...

Would you support a V8 Viper?

Wow Jim. I ignored the Camaro comment and I almost agree with your Shelby GT500, but ... the Challenger is cheaper and for less money (probably) you instal a supercharger kit onto a lowly R/T and easily get a lot more hp then either a Mustang or a Camaro. Now ... if you bought an SRT and added...

    Info packet???????????????

Thanks, we planned to be there just after noon. Might want to wash the car before dinner if I don't manage a wash the day before in Montana. No, I don't know about Vendor displays or anything except the post Jon did on the driving info for MMP the "day before VOI". Thanks Ted

Would you support a V8 Viper?

What happened to all the vette guys that should be saying that since it works for vettes it's good for Vipers? I agree that a name change would be needed. Maybe build the car from sheet metal and use steel suspension pieces? Go back to skinny tires (like a base vette) and small brakes...

    Trade a Gen 3 for a Gen 4

"Viper designed PS2s" Not Goodyears like the Z06. The PS2s were designed for the Gen 4 Viper, not the ZR1. Ted
