Hi there, your story resonates with me. I got a 5000 mile '93 back in 2014, basically? 1. Spark plugs 2. Injector o-rings 3. Check valve for fuel delivery 4. MAP sensor And just in case, get an upgraded head gaskets. Just in case.- ViperRed

94 Viper starts, dies, but then starts and runs great
I had this problem big time, replaced the MAP sensor, it's much better now. But it still happens when parked for a period of time.- ViperRed

92 Viper intermittent misfire
Yes, as previously mentioned. Pull the codes if you have a scanner, or do it the manual way. I had similar issues to you that eventually got worse. It turned out to be a bad MAP sensor. I replaced it and bingo, good as new again.- ViperRed

Temperate gauge question
You car does EXACTLY what mine does. I have a 93 with 7k miles. I have upgraded the radiator on mine and installed 200F thermostat as I couldn't get hold of a 190F, however, having said that... the coolant stays in the radiator slightly longer which cools it down further before the thermostat...- ViperRed

Update Chose the 1994 Dodge 8.0 Truck from the listed vehicles in the scan tool and got the job done. Managed to confirm the 3 codes that I had from the self cycle test I performed earlier, replaced the MAP sensor, cleared the codes and the car is running great now! i have my Viper back! Hi Steve, I am not sure what you mean by a generic OBD setting honestly.. However, Bosch got back to me with this: Yes this vehicle is not listed as obd1 vehicle , however try going to 1994 dodge truck and select 8.0L which is the v-10 engine also use the cigarette lighter adapter with it...- ViperRed
