Thanks... I was going for the whole cool dad thing!!!
Actually it does have the dark grey rims!
And BTW it is a 16v (instead of 6v or 12V), has LED headlights and it has a fm radio with aux input. I couldn't help myself. :D
Got to drive a coworker's orange and black ZL1 vert today... I was scared I would get the itch especially since I've owned 5 camaros prior to my GTS but to be honest I wasn't that impressed. Sure it's fast but the car was just eh, it didn't excite me or give me that ear to ear grin I get from...
Check out the website. cooldesertnights.com. There are cruises, shows, street dances and even $2 autocross runs at the old tri-cities race way. Always a ton of cars from old to new and classics to exotics. Let me know if anyone decides to head on over. There are plenty of good wineries and...
As far as how big the chips can be and it still look ok; It depends on how much time and patience you have. The bigger the chip the more thin coats you will have to do, and like I said before you have to use small dabs and smear it quickly. I ditched the latex glove and just used my finger...
Just used dr. Colorchip today. It does a great job. Perfect? No. One thousand times better? Yes! Takes a little practice to get the hang of it. I learned many things that will help you make your repair look the best it can.
1: The "blending solution" can wipe off everything you did if you...
The one they had involved putting the old key in a vice type jig and the new key in the other side of said "jig." They then hit start and the machine does the rest. They made it seem like the original key "moved" while the machine was cutting and that made the machine cut too deep into my new...
Yeah we'll see what happens... I had a nervous feeling about taking it there but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The guy was all excited to do it and said he was gonna be extra careful. Guess I should have trusted my gut.
I took it to my local ACE hardware. They have done all my other keys w/o an issue. They can do chipped keys and have the friggin' machine that does it for you! All they have to do is put the keys in and hit go. I just emailed corp. so we'll see what happens.
Took my new red Sneaky Pete key to get cut today and the person cutting the key said the key slipped a little while being cut... Now I have an $80 (not so good) paper weight. Manager said since I didn't buy the key from them I am s.o.l. Sorry, I just wanted to vent a little.
I saw that thread. I saw a few people reply w/ what their cars have/came with but, nothing about what cars/years came w/ the colored keys. It's not a big deal. I was just curious if anyone knew more about them.
I've seen these around on the internet. Are they stock keys? Were they only available for certain cars/colors/years? Basically, Does anyone know the story
behind them or at least have any info? Thanks.
