Friday is when the motor should be completed. I have a lot of parts to install after I get the car back, but may have sold my wheels. I'll be sure to post a thread when all is said and done.
Had to get a lawyer involved...motor sat for almost 4 months untouched. Eta for motor completion is next Friday. Almost! Now back to the important stuff... When is round 6 of mods happening? Haha
I only bought some Lloyd's Ultimats with SSG emblems/logo/piping so far. I'm going to put the SSG emblems/center console/shifter surround/calipers/interior stitching on hold...just want my car back!
I know what you mean. I had to stop myself yesterday... I was on my way to doing a bunch of giggity green (my term for SSG) accents, both interior and exterior. I just need to get my car back and enjoy it first.
Just saw my first Gen V in person and I was speechless. We just left breakfast after attending Festivals of Speed in St. Petersburg and my friend yells out "Ryan, new Viper! New Viper!" I felt like a little kid again... Myself and 2 other people immediately whipped out our cell phones and...
I just saw a GTR with a chrome wrap this morning at Festivals of Speed and it was pretty bad up close, but from a foot away you couldn't notice all the what looked to be orange peel.
Same for me, except I have a Gen 3. From what I remember, 2k-2.5k rpms were the worst...but it is not even close to being bad enough to rattle the mirror.
I've had the same thing happen to me twice in the 1200 miles I was able to drive my car in the past year. The second time, I ended up disconnecting the battery and it was fine right after that.
That's exactly what I did. I sprayed them and then took the finish off a week later. I'm a horrible sprayer, but it gave me a good enough idea of how black on black looks.
