Trust me on this it will take more than just light people and luck to get the fast times. For those that haven't done it before they are in for a rude awakening. Everybody likes to think they are Mario Andretti, but the lap times will tell the truth and hurt some feelings. I will be there...
Kind of curious about that myself. I need to investigate my AC as well. I never use it, but I would like it to actually work if I had to use it for some reason.
If you don't drag race on sticky tires you will probably never break anything. On the other hand if you drag race your bone stock car on sticky tires you will break the same parts.
Yes I bought it. Sean Roe called me back about an hour before the auction ended and told me he had what was needed to convert it to a gen 2kit. And that it was not a big deal. Super nice guy. Called me on a Saturday night at 7:30pm about something that I was not even buying from him.:D
There is no sense in saving your car for someone else to enjoy later. Drive it, scrape it, paint it. Do whatever it is that makes you enjoy your ownership. I know too many people with nice cars that are scared to drive them. If you can't drive the thing then why own it.;)
For those that are curious the lower manifold IS different. So you can't use a GEN 1 kit on a GEN 2 car. Also the computer wiring is different so the VEC would be different as well.
Can you use a GEN1 ROE on a GEN 2 viper? Are there any differences as far as this is concerned. I know the engines are slightly different but was not sure if the intake itself was that different that there was a design change in the ROE to make it work for either generation Viper.:eater:
They always have them for sale, sometimes they are just low on their supply. I think there was a mad run on them earlier this summer but they should be stocked up by now I would assume.
Like the title states, question for anyone who has installed the woodhouse poly engine mounts. I installed these mounts a few weeks back with no problems, and didn't think too much about it when I did it....But is there a way the mounts are supposed to be oriented. IS there a wrong way to...
I agree 100%. If you do it out in the middle of no where, where the only thing to hit are trees or a cactus for you out west guys I see no problem with it. If you do it in a fast and furious type scene, you are just asking to be thrown jail with the rest of the idiots.
Well after starting up the car with the Random Tech exhaust and hi flow RT cats I decided that it was not the sound that I was looking for (too quiet). So on that note, I ordered a set of the M&M Performance long tube headers this morning. I am installing V band flanges at the end of the...
If you bought the car from Bernie, I am willing to bet it is a normal noise. Everything that I have seen come out of his place is top notch. The T-56 tranny can have a bit of gear whine at times so that may be what you are hearing. The viper spec version of the transmission uses a gear set...
I just installed the Random Tech cat back with the RT hiflow cats and I though it was as quiet as my stock exhaust without cats. I was disappointed that it was not louder. So disappointed that I am doing long tube headers and removing the cats. I heard Plumcrazys car this weekend and it was...
I'm going with the Amsoil ATF and calling a day. Spoke with a few very reputable tuners and tranny rebuilders and got the green light on it. I guess I will find out tomorrow if there are any ill effects. I doubt it though, I used to run it in a few other cars with the T56. One of which had...
I know what the sticker on the side of the transmission says, but I have had numerous other cars with this same transmission and have never ran that particular fluid in them. So on that note I was wondering what you guys were running in yours? I replaced the engine mounts (woodhouse)...
If you have the stock manifolds on the car you can't get the top bolt out of the bracket that holds the motor mount to the motor itself. Not that removing the manifolds is hard, I think it took about 3-5 minutes per side to do it. I have not had a chance to drive the car yet (not finished with...
Well I finally found the time to start my motor and transmission mount R&R project. I made good use of the nasty weather Tropical Storm Hanna brought us today and spent the day in the garage. I was hoping that when I got them out I would find them to be bad or at least look like they needed to...
