Unless your future plans call for some serious NA power or any type of forced induction the wideband will just be a pretty gauge. (If you don't plan on tuning your car you don't need it) But the short shifter is always a good idea. After having lots of vettes all with either a B&M or a Hurst...
In preparation for forced induction I plan on replacing the stock radiator with an all aluminum aftermarket unit. Question is which one? My GTS is a 98 and I don't want to mod everything up front to get the radiator to fit. Not planning on upgrading everything at once so it will have to work...
Congrats Chris, glad its all together and running now. Pic looks sweet. I need to shoot up there sometime soon so I can check it out. I guess it's time to step mine up as well. After coming back from TX2K8 this last weekend I need a horsepower fix for sure. I am pretty sure I will go with...
That doesn't sound like a turbo system problem, thats a tuning issue. Not sure what software is available for the SRT Rams but with a proper tune that should not ever be a problem. Although I am sure I am beating a dead horse on this issue.

Just ordered my spring cups from JonB. Now I can get my car to a stance I can deal with. I will take pics and measurements of both before and after ride heights. Nothing more aggravating than spending 20 mins getting the car setup so you can put it on the lift.

Dollars weren't wasted I check there first...;)I checked on PartsRack but all I saw were the shaved ones. I will need the regular caps to get me back where I need to be I think. The Eibachs lowered the car about an inch or more and without the caps probably another inch. I love low, but at...
My 98 GTS is lowered with Eibach springs and no spring cups. It looks great but is a tad too low. So low that getting it on my lift is a pain in the rear. I would like to bring it back up a bit, but still keep the Eibachs on there. Where is a good source for getting the spring cups. Do any...
I thought I saw a link or a post once that contained a list of year to year production numbers broken down by color and GTS/RT10 etc If such a list exists could someone please point me in its general direction.

Ok, I'm all registered/paid and whatnot for the VCA just waiting on my membership stuff to get procesed and get issued a member number.....:2tu:

Well not much driving got done today, but it's all registered and what not. Not to mention I went over it with the clay bar, polishing compound and put on a good first coat of wax. Much better now. Roads were icy here this morning so I figured I better not tempt fate.;)

Yeah, I was actually kind of disappointed with the the Z06. Not performance wise, but it just rode a little to luxury car like for me. I missed the ride of my old 90 vette with the Z51 suspension. I like a car that rides rough like you are feeling every bump/pebble in the road and the Viper...
Ahhh..You must be Justins friend with the Viper. Tell him I said hello. I finally made the switch from Vettes to the Viper. Just sold my Z06 to get this one.

Yes...great feeling. Now to just wait for the roads to warm up a bit so I can actually drive it like it was meant to be driven. We had unusually cold temps here the last few days and today was below freezing most of the day so my few miles were at a nice and easy pace. Cold roads + lots of...
Yeah, I will do that this week for sure (both the VCA and contacting an admin). I put about 30 or so miles just driving around near my house. Didn't want to go to far since I still need to get it registered and all that mess. It's been insured since I bought it just haven't made it down to...
After 5 long weeks of waiting my 98 GTS is finally here. It arrived this morning VIA Gary Almond, who did an excellent job of keeping me informed during the whole shipping process. Some of you may recognize the car it's Eric's (00SVTdubs) old car. I couldn't be more pleased with it's...
The ZF 6spd transmissions in the early C4 vettes 89-93 used the straight cut gears and then switched to the helical cut gears in late 93-96. They made the switch to quiet them down but power handling capability went down as well.
