    Prices of "new" 2006s?

So, what are they going for these days? Any special dealer incentives to move them before the 2008s start arriving? I recently sold my Yellow 2005 and the need for Viper #7 is growing!

Don't take this the wrong way but if I gave a ride to everyone who wanted one I only have time for fill-ups at the nearest gas station. However, if you contact the local VCA Chapter, as previously postedyou might find someone to give you one...maybe you can tell them you are teminal or something...

    Viper Insurance

Question on stated value for you: when I wrecked my '05 Viper back in January, Grundy paid me the stated value of the policy. However, they would not pay the sales tax, which is required in Florida when a total loss is determined. The Grundy policy does not talk about such a circumstance and...

    GullWing Doors

To each their own...if he likes it then more power to him. I think they look kinda cool albeit I would not do it to mine.

Unbelievable Chrysler Warranty on all 2008 Viper

Really...no way they would provide that kind of coverage on a Viper, or any of the SRT models.

Carfax report please and nav question

The RB1 fits perfectly and looks stock (I had one in my Yellow '05)...DCX product and the same one that is used in some Jeeps, etc.

It's hot inside my new 06 Coupe

The easy way to reduce cockpit temps is simply remove the secondary pair of cats - you will not set off any codes, etc. And you could take it a couple steps further if so desired by wrapping the exhaust in the sills (Roe kit) and/or eliminating the crossover, as others have said.

    Bird Poop

Good question - I've had the same problem in the past as well. Maybe a clay bar?

    leather seats?

Most leather conditioners are the same so you cannot go wrong putting something on them...I use a leather conditioner on the leather in my cars, bike seat, and chairs/sofa in the house as well - I think it helps.

    Wheel decision

I had HRE 546Rs (19/20s) on my last Viper and they were polished/unclear coated. No problems keeping them clean and in my opinion they looked a lot better than chrome. Besides, HRE "highly ploished" wheels are real shiny. And as others have said, they are easy to fix if need be.

    So what's the percentage?

I think membership totals about 25% so that leaves about 75% of Viper owners not in the club...imagine the $ the club would have if everyone stayed in.

    Whos happy?

I recently sold Viper #6 and I owned something else in-between each of them...always came back to the Vipers! But now I am in the same situation again and if I follow suit, I will buy a non-Viper exotic before I get Viper #7 albeit I have not decided what to get yet...lots of choices. As the old...

Should an 05' SRT be getting 10 mpg?

IMO if you are not getting 10 MPG occasionally you are not driving it as it should be driven.

    What's it worth ?

KBB or any of the other like-valueators are the worst place to get an idea! Maybe they work to get an average idea for a run of the mill daily driver but never for a Viper or other exotic. Ebay and the classifieds here and Viper Alley are the best and even Auto Trader albeit they tend to be on...

    Run in with Z06's

When I lived in Maryland a had lots of chances to street race, and took just about all of them. And there are lots of good places for high speed runs, i.e., RT210 north a few miles south of the beltway - 140 easily in that area with never a cop.

Sick To My Stomach - Need Advice

This will quickly turn into a "he said/she daid" kinda thing and impossible to prove. But you can tell the dealer that you plan to let everyone know who they are and what they did via posting a thread on the VCA Forum and they'll be welcome to post a defense. Maybe they'll fess up and offer you...

    Mods that add value?

Vipers are kinda like Harleys in the respect that people like to personalize them and very few remain 100% stock. When I sold my last SRT the buyer liked the mods and paid for them albeit their were not a lot of fish biting; however, it only takes one. As long as you don't paint the car pink (or...

OK, whats the deal with the vette wave?

They are waving because they think it is a Vette, nothing more. I cannot count the # of people who said "nice Vette", etc. to me in the SRT (never happened in past Gen Is or IIs). While most of us can tell the difference there have been a few occasions (not sure why I am even admitting this)...

    cockpit cover???

I guess I should add that we should be confused as to what kind of cockpit cover I am talking about...the one I mention is merely a cover to drape over the cockpit and not like the old RT/10s had, which snapped into place. And the ones that drape over can be had in "loose fit" to use with the...

2008 Snakeskin Green Viper Spotted! (pic)

I wonder if all these people who like it would actually buy one in that color (doubt it). To each their own though and if someone wants to spend their own $ on a car in that color more power to you. But I still say "YUCK!".

2008 Snakeskin Green Viper Spotted! (pic)

Stunning? Pops? Everyone has an opinion so here is mine: YUCK! Maybe if it had Black stripes with HREs (the stock wheels are UGLY), and lowered of course, but even then I am not sure if it would look good. Then again, I guess that is why they offer a lot of different colors - different strokes...

    cockpit cover???

Jon B. sells them (check out his web site) and Snake Oyl does as well. I've had one for all my verts and they work great for when the top is down and you want to keep crap out of the cockpit. By the way, you can get them in a couple colors and different logos in many colors.

Proof Red Viper's are the sexiest car on the road (MUST READ)

Those idiots would have slammed into the car while looking at any color Viper; if a hottoe was driving the Viper someone might have been killed. I've had a few Red ones, a Blue/White, Black/Silver and Yellow one...all got a lot of looks from young, old, etc.
