What's up with the generally poor hood/front light interface?

RTTTT, I am sorry but your post is hilarious. 1. American vehicles, of the genI/genII era, are notorious for HUGE body gaps. The genI/genII Viper's gap between the hood and headlights/front bumper cover is HORRIBLE. I would prefer no eyebrow gap, smaller door gaps, and a smaller gap between...

What's up with the generally poor hood/front light interface?

It's an American car, specifically Dodge, designed in the late 80's/early 90's and assembled in the 90's. Body gaps, good materials, and tight tolerances were not considered important. Crashed cars and not properly closed hoods make this worse. I don't suggest looking at the center...

A Viper, treated much different than most. . . 56k be warned

It would look that way. I usually go wide for the main push. Then pretty much everywhere to make sure that it's locked down and even. Probably doesn't do much, but helps me sleep at night.:rolaugh: Nick

Do a google search for AutoLavish. I am dropping the car off with them in about a month. Nick

been here 2 years and still no viper

A C6 would be a great DD. So much more comfortable, quiet, ergonomical, etc. The Viper is just a much more fun car. I've driven my friend's '08 LS3 coupe/M6, it's really nice, but nowhere near as much fun, in my eyes, as the Viper. I also looked at C6Z06s, but they couldn't overtake the GTS...

So do GTS's get more attention than SRT's?

+1 I have a lot of people come up and say they like the 'GTS style' the best and that the new ones look like Corvettes. :dunno: I like the look of the genIII/IV coupe better than the GTS, but like the GTS interior better. GTS has cheaper insurance for me too. Nick

A Viper, treated much different than most. . . 56k be warned

While I love a super clean car, I really like dirty cars. Following the lines of where water/dust/dirt travels. I just find it very interesting to see the lines of the car. Anyways, it will be getting another full detail in the near future. If anyone has seen work from AutoLavish from other...

A Viper, treated much different than most. . . 56k be warned

This is my '99 ACR. I love it. But I also drive it daily, for the most part. The day after I got it washed, I had a 70 mile trek through a snow storm. Since then it's logged around 700 miles, with lots of rain and bugs. So this car has been subjected to many more conditions than most Vipers...

    Gen II exhaust manifold/header: thermal coating/porting questions. . .

Thanks for the link & the invite Steve. Again, thank's Steve for great input. This result is the important info I was looking for. Since exhaust flow is increased with higher temps, coating the entire exhaust (headers, sills, cbe) should create enough heat to essentially make the exhaust...

    Gen II exhaust manifold/header: thermal coating/porting questions. . .

My engine mounts are shot. I am taking Dave's advice and going at them from the top. But since I am going through all the work to remove the factory manifolds, I might as well get my money/time's worth. :D On my GT35R STi I noticed some significant changes by thermally coating the SS...

    Driving Vipers...Gen I through IV...

Yeah, that's a bummer the GRGP is dead. I used to root for Paul Gentilozzi in the Jags. In '99 that would've been a massacre between Vette & Viper. Nick
