I've only had one warranty claim in 16 months of ownership. I expect to keep this car for many years so I am very pleased with the overall track record regarding unplanned expenses.
Based on personal experience, I have concluded that the Viper is a remarkably trouble-free vehicle (for the most part). I was just curious as to whether or not anyone has driven a Viper for extended periods of time (say 5 years or more) without ANY unplanned mechanical expenses.
Agreed. It will cost you more (mine cost $1,500+ with $100 deductible) but it covers everything. I got the 7-year 60,000 plan from Bill Pemberton at Woodhouse Dodge.
