    14.6k miles in 6 months

Awesome! Flew out to California, bought mine, turned around and drove it 1000 miles home. Loved it, but still haven't put your kind of mileage on. Rock on!

Me three! Love it, no issues.

    Disrespecting the Viper

I too was disappointed with the ending after watching the Viper chew up and spit out the competition. As the previous owner of a 2003 Z06, I can honestly say that my GTS is hands down a more capable, more viceral, totally more freaking fun to drive car than the Vette ever was! Couple that with...

That looks pretty awesome! I have a large Craftsman compressor and a die grinder, so I'll give that option a chance next time.

Corsa Exhaust with High Flow Cats vs Stock Exhaust with Muffler Delete and HF Cat

I have Belangers, Corsa 3" and RT highflow cats. I love the system, and don't have any resonance. I installed the Belangers last, and drove it with stock exhaust for about 6 months before making the mod. Didn't notice a tremendous difference in volume, but more of a deeper tone.

    Head liner coming down

I wouldn't call it common, but any car over 10-15 years old is subject to the "sag". Just replaced one on my son's Eclipse. Not really a big deal at all, just somewhat labor intensive. You can purchase the material online from numerous sources, and do it yourself in a day. Just do your best...

What the heck did my car just do?

You two need to lighten up! There's a reason some call this place the Morgue...... Take it easy, enjoy some humor in your life..

    Selling my 2001 RT/10

Doesn't have anything to do with your forum name, does it? Sorry man, couldn't resist. Sorry to hear you have to sell the car.

    Oil pressure gauge at 0

I'd say the obvious answer is an oil pump failure. Hope not, as that knocking was probably related to bearing failure. Keep us posted.

#209 Ready to Hit The Road

Good luck, and follow the advice you've been given so far for as problem free trip as you can hope for. If you come through I-10 in the Phoenix/Tucson area, drop us a line. Love to meet up for a meal and see how your trip has gone.

    Noob Question: Coolant???

I'd do a little more searching before I brought it back to the dealer, unless you have deep pockets :D. If there is a leak out of the front right facia area, you might have a small hole in the bottle (caused by a fasia screw often times according to prior posts), or you may have overfilled the...

    Magnaflow Hi-Flow Cats

I've never heard of anyone here using the MagnaFlow cats, but I imagine they'd be good quality. $250 is a great price if it's both sides. I don't know where or why you heard Random Techs were an issue. I just installed my second set, and the first one lasted over 7 years. Got the new set...

    viper tax?

That's why I prefer to fab something up using quality parts. I don't mind some of the "tax" issues, but you have to be prepared to draw the line somewhere. I think $57 screws is a good starting place....:omg:

    Noob Question: Coolant???

Any modern, high quality coolant will be fine. I think more guys are going with the orange (dex-cool I believe) and that's what I'm using. Holds up well for up to 5 years. Yes, when your filling the system, don't forget to properly fill the overflow bottle in the front facia, and then check it...

Viper vs Evo at Blackhawk Farms

Nice video! Nice save at 4:10 too. I'd say that course favored the Evo a bit. More tight turns, less straights. Looked like a hell of a fun afternoon though!

    Side sill removal?

Absolutely not! Just remove the visible screws both under the sill, and on top of the sill under the black plastic buttons once you open the door. I've done it twice in three months already, and it's a breeze. Good advice above on not overtightening the screws on the install. Helps to have a...

    Idling Along

Another vote for "not normal". I've found mine as easy a car to drive as any manual I've owned. I had a 02 Z06 and a FFR Cobra (5 speed Tremec) before the Viper, but I think even if I was less experienced, it wouldn't be an issue. I think he needs to learn his clutches engagement point and some...

If you are in the market for a Viper GTS ACR

You gotta love these price threads. Not what I intended... :nono: If you do not like what somebody is asking for their car it is usually polite to not say anything and look elsewhere if you are a buyer. JMHO :dunno: I agree with you to an extent, but you started the post, and we're just...

Those type of experiences are nice to hear about. There's enough "I just got F'ed by XXXXX" to go around, it's great to hear about someone who knows good customer service!

If you are in the market for a Viper GTS ACR

I agree 100%. It is a nice, clean well maintained car, but his asking price is not in step with the current market, even with the low mileage. As an owner of a 01 ACR, I'd love to see those prices myself, but I purchased mine, with 9K miles, full StopTech brakes, Autoform roll bar, and R/T...

"Alarm Set" started flashing while driving.........

Stop fighting the inevidable and change the battery! Five years is a long time for any type of battery, regardless of how it's maintained. I also use a Tender, and I would consider five years a good run. While there's no guarantee, I would bet it's simply a battery issue.

Brakes - Going Lightweight - Gurus inside please

I'm running Stoptech 4 piston front and rear, w/ Stoptech two piece hats on all four corners. Not sure what the weight savings was over stock, but you can't beat the stopping power. I was running ATE Superblue, but when I changed over to Stoptech Street Performance pads, I also changed to...

Viper will not go into gear at all? Suggestions?

As with any troubleshooting, start with the simplest cause and move forward from there. Since your noting that the clutch pedal pressure isn't as it was prior to taking your car to the shop, I'd start with the clutch master cylinder and then the clutch slave cylinder. First have the system bled...
