Fuel Pump Fuse or Relay - Help Please

Thanks Doug. I found the part numbers (one is for VW Jettas believe it or not) but they are unavailable in the US. NOBODY can get them, they're apparently on back order with no due date in sight. The route you suggest is the best. Thanks again.

Fuel Pump Fuse or Relay - Help Please

OK, so now I'm trying to buy a fuel pump relay as insurance against this happening again. The local Dodge idiots say the part is discontinued.....and that I should try Oreillyy's. The nitwit has no subsequent/alternate part number or anything. God, I hate stealerships. I actually asked the...

Help: Clutch Pedal Detached - Advice Needed

Do a search for "birdcage" or "birdcage fix" on this site....the best way to do It Is to hard-pin the thing. Someone did an excellent write up on It wi th how-to-pix and everythi ng you'd need to do a bang up job. and yes, I'm tired of f'ing with the stupid extra spaces we enthusiasts get...

Fuel Pump Fuse or Relay - Help Please

Thanks a bunch folks. I reseated it and It works (enough to get me home). I might replace it since the reseat strategy may not be a permanent fix (though it may be In the connection more than It Is In the relay Itself.....)

Fuel Pump Fuse or Relay - Help Please

Thanks John. I'll change it out and hope its not the pump itself!

Fuel Pump Fuse or Relay - Help Please

Strange occurrence. Drove the car (1998 GTS) about 50 miles from home, ran fine. Shut it off and upon startup noticed that the fuel pump didn't prime when the key was turned. Must not work because the starter turns the engine but it won't start. Looked at the underhood fuse box and...

How hard is it to get the gas cover off??

Acquiring the tool Is probably the way to go unless It takes a week to get and you want to do It right now. I actually bent a hook In a steel barbeque skewer which Is more rigid than a coat hanger and did work well. Good luck with It!

    Running hot during autocross

I'm not sure what kind of baffling Is In your pan, but there are some who can advise on appropriate baffling to keep the sloshing to a minimum. I opted for a dry sump system which definitely solves the lateral g problem but its a bit pricey.

How hard is it to get the gas cover off??

The gas cap Is easy to get off. Slightly harder to get back on though not hard. There is a trick (outlined in a thread I wrote a long time ago with pix) which involves using a coat hanger with a hook bent in it to thread through the hole on the filler tube so you can pull it up around the gas...

    Southbend clutch

SPEC blows. For every story of one that holds together, there are three that never set up right or come apart prematurely. Not saying the posters who said they've seen a good SPEC aren't correct, I'm sure they did....but they were the lucky owners of a SPEC product that has absolutely no...

Had a run in witha Z06 tonite.

There is just something about ZR1 drivers..... it IS a great car but for some reason the folks who buy them seem to think they are invincible or something. I was at Barber Motorsports Park last year in a session with the guy who heads the Rezoom chapter and drives a ZR1. I could catch him...

    Next power adder?

Just a tag on to the original question. If "track" Is drag, no problems with any of the choices you're considering. If "track" is road course you may find that the blowers you're investigating get hot and cause you big loss from peak HP especially in the summer and after 20-30 minutes of...

    626 for NA Gen 2

Balanced Performance in Sugar Hill GA did the tune. The suggestion was that 20-30 more could be achieved through aggressive fuel management and higher rpm, but its a road course car and there's really no need to put it on the edge for that purpose, especially given the driver's limited ability ;-)

    626 for NA Gen 2

They must be the street Strikers since I only squeezed 10 more WHP out of the thing (636 RW) with bigger injectors, upgraded coils and the Strikers. It is dry sumped but it doesn't look like a kit (it was done in 1998 before I had it) as the bottom cover looks like it was bespoke CNC's from...

Legal advice/tips regarding failed 06 FE purchase?

It'll cost you more than $500 (unless you're an IT genius) but hiring someone to post all kinds of truthful but hurtful stuff about this experience and his integrity on the net (and search engine optimize it) would bring him more than $500 worth of pain and embarrassment.

    1992 Viper For Sale

I agree with the poster who suggested selling it again thru B-J. Put a $60 reserve on It and see If it goes. That audience Is more likely to have a bunch of folks who value the collectability of that car......most Viper folks enjoy driving them and although we appreciate what It Is, most here...

    leaking billy boats

I have leaky John H headers, sounded great and made good power but the escaping gasses around the slip fit annoyed me. A local shop recommended a bonding material that hardens when hot and It worked well for a couple of years. No leaks at all.....but then the adhesive stuff cracked during a...
