How many miles did you drive on your 'test drive' ? 5....maybe 10. Obviously that time was not spent at speed on the highway
Really....you have good ears ? Then hear this. You have virtually no real life experience with the Gen V, or any other Viper for that matter, so why don't you just leave...
NO..... not interested in anything you are suggesting. Maybe you should create an Anti Viper site since that is what you pretty much have been pushing since you got on here 5 months ago.
Matt
Really....on behalf of what members exactly ??
Who are you and how it is that you think you speak for all these members....current and old ?
Even though I agree that the current BOD should be scrutinized and held accountable I certainly don't agree that BobPantax should be hired to do this. He...
I have zero experience with paddles/auto combo but I have been considering an 5.2 R8 and it appears that the trans of choice is definitely the 6 speed.
Not sure what type of auto trans the Audi r-tronic is. Anyone have the experience with those two transmission as a comparison ?
It may be...
I know.....its just amazes me that some people are this dense and self absorbed.
Takes the fun out of some of these threads. Its almost more like some political forum with a bunch of bickering as opposed to a car forum where we talk about what truly is nothing more than a toy.
Matt
PB......so let me get this straight.
Tony is a long standing and respected member of this forum. He has owned Vipers over the years and has done more to them than most. He stepped up and bought a Gen V and has put more miles on that in the first 2 months than you will probably put on yours in...
I am sure it wasn't an 'attitude' that got the car axed. Yet attitude is what you need in order to own and enjoy it. This is something you cant buy......either you have it or you don't.
Matt
So it seems pretty anonymous from current/past owners (and I agree since I never even sat in one before I bought mine)
If you feel that you have to test drive a Viper in order to make a decision......then this car is NOT for you.
Matt
Re: Glad they are going to limit the amount Corvettes & Mustangs at Cars & Coffee Irv
OK...maybe a stupid question/suggestion since I don't know the area.
Why doesn't this even move to a bigger lot. Surely there is somewhere that could pack more cars in rather then getting into this elitist BS...
Laughable....Yes you are right. The fact that you seem more concerned about what other people think than making your of decisions based on what is important to you....that is in fact laughable and a bit sad
You obviously have some very specific needs and requirements and that's fine but when...
SRT Viper......Enough already. You have started a bunch of threads just asking essentially the same questions. Asking for opinions and some real life feedback from owners.
When no one seems interested in your thread any longer, you then start another one, asking the same things over and over...
Nine....I have to disagree.
If I have 150K to spend I will certainly look at what I have available to buy. Doesnt mean it has to be new. A low mileage, well cared for car, in the same price range is certainly a consideration.
If that also means that I may be getting 'more car' since the...
It's amazing to me how someone can actually destroy a thread with pure arrogance and a 'know it all' attitude
Also the idea of suggesting that because you like the Gen3 and 4 design, and defend it.....you are actually just jealous !!!! Jealous of what ??....that I don't agree with someone...
Well, hell.....if you went to 'Ford Dealership NASCAR Driving School', then you will surely not have any issue driving a Viper in any conditions......
Really, from the get go you are asking how a car, that is just now being delivered to customers, will act when driving in extreme cold...
You really have no idea what you are talking about......'it handles better and is more refined and that makes it easier to drive than a Mustang' ????
You are forgetting to consider steering, brakes, clutch operation, pedal spacing, seating position, gear box operation, visibility and much more...
I am just basing my feedback on what you have said. At mid 20's you wont be considered all the young owning a Viper based on the somewhat ridiculous threads about "youngest owners' that have surfaced over the years
You did mention that you wanted to wait for the new ZR1 to be available before...
In a previous thread you mention something about thinking you could be the youngest Viper driver in your area....maybe others, so you are what ....20 years old ?
You also stated that you want the new ZR1 to come out before you decide what to buy, then that you are in fact 1-2 years away from...
There are plenty of performance cars the OP can fit in that are great. To suggest he should get a Hummer that is on the opposite side of the spectrum is just ignorant.
You haven't even driven a Viper yet.....maybe you should pipe down until you have some experience with actually owning...
I can agree with this as well but the fact is (at least where I live) its the people driving the hybrids that are judgmental. The drivers of those cars will give me dirty looks every time they see me in one of my 'guzzlers'
So actually I am bit surprised by the comment that you guys are...
Well if you dont care if someone beats on your car, then thats your choice.
As far as I am concerned, no one beats on my car....no one. Especially some dealer that I trust with my car.
You are right, my car....its meant to be driven, by me....meant to be enjoyed, by me...if abused, then by...
Brutal....this a sure way to show very little respect for a new car.....and what will most certainly be someone elses before to long.
I agree with those that would not consider supporting this dealership in the future. If they do this type of 'break-in' now...I am sure it isn't the first...
