I have one in the garage, wrapped in plastic and ready to ship, it has 95% tread on it as it was a take off of an 02 RT with about 2k miles. Thus it is 7 years old, probably not exactly what your looking for but pm me if you are interested.
If you get the McMaster Carr part it goes on pretty tight so you don't really even need any glue. I cut the old one off and replaced it with the new one in less than 20 min.
.............or is it just wishful thinking? I just got off the phone with my credit union, they told me they valued my 2001 RT/10 at $53k even with 39k miles on it. They offered to extend out my loan term and lower the payment......I told them that'll just keep paying the normal rate. What a...
I remember seeing a "gold package" RT/10 back in 97 or 98 at Roanoke Motors. At the time though they didn't tell me how rare that one would be, but that it was just one of the available options.
I wonder if it is the same one you are looking at.
I called on a Friday afternoon a week ago. I got through on the second ring and spoke with someone. It was easy. :) I don't know why you couldn't get through.
My experience has been that full throttle launches in Gen I's are way more fun than in a Gen II. :2tu:
Maybe it's the sidepipes, or all the extra unsprung weight, either way I'll never forget my first ride in a Gen I.
The bottom line here really is just how many times do you want to have to remove the side sills and then put them back on? Unless your Dave6666 who's a self proclaimed expert at taking them off and on, they are kind of a pain. You might as well just do the exhaust the way you want the first...
Yes, this could be done. The wiring to the viper logo light would have to be in parallel with that of the tail lights. When the brakes are applied more current is being supplied to the bulbs to make them brighter.
Probably not worth the hassle of re-wiring, but it might look cool.
I think the only reason for all of this is because McDonalds is selling cheeseburgers for 59 cents on Weds. because people are struggling with the economy. Once Macs raises the prices back up on Cheeseburgers, you should see the McViper prices go up accordingly. :D
Take the new temp sensor and dip it in water 190 F. while doing this measure the resistance of the sensor. Go to radio shack and buy a resistor of comparable ohms. Plug the resistor into the wiring harness for the sensor then wrap some tape around it so it will stay temporarily, this may get you...
Not an ideal viper, but I'd probably still take this over a corvette. You could get new emblems for a couple of hundred bucks, paint the interior back to black, and re-adjust the hood. It would then be driveable.
Wow, an enthusiast with only 6 posts, telling a paid VCA member to use the search feature? Doesn't seem right to me.
The suggestions that Chad made are good ones, at minimum go with the Roe vent tube, it'll keep the cap from coming loose.
