Just before I bought my 93 they said they changed the head gaskets. How long should I expect these to last? I have had the car for two years now and put about 2,000 miles on it. I have read where some have over 70,000 on the orginal gaskets while others had trouble early. How soon would they...
Check to see if your new battery is rated strong enough to turn it over. Cells might even be dry if not maintained by company you bought it from. Maybe the alarm system if battery went down.
I think your property remains within your ownership. The bank can probably take what belongs to the company but I don't think they can make claim to anything else. If you have a receipt from the postal service and other information with recipts from American stitches the bank should have to give...
I really like that blue. Still have my dad's blue 68 charger with a white vynal top. That blue and white always is great. My viper is red but I'm not complaining, I think I would like it in any color. Watch out, in second gear mine can lose control at around 60, can run out from under you...
I have a set of 17" rims and tires. Pretty good condition. Rims are painted black. Bought them off ebay, pick them up form a guy in Illinois. He said they were about 5 or 6 years old. I need to check this out if it was true. Used them to drag 8 times. Decided I wanted larger rims and tire and...
Before I owned my viper I have had my seat cut on mu 73 Cuda and another incident with things stolen out of the car and off the car. I have never had anything done to my charger or viper yet. I usually stay close by and watch the cars if I'm somewhere with them. People that do these things are...
I have a set of tires 17" rims. Fairly good shape. Decided I would rather just drive the car than take it to extremes. Used them to go down the 18th mile track 6 times. Anyone interested?
Thanks Chuck for all the help. I received the remote entry receiver, put it on, went through the reprogramming the fob and was driving it that night. The same product would have cost me $37.00 more at the local dealer.
Three different ricers tried to bait me into a drag, but I just won't do...
When my dad bought his 68 charger my brother and I decided to have the oil changed at either 2,000 miles or every 5 months. The engine was never overhauled in over 200,000 miles on it. When I restored the car all I had to do was head work. (ported, is faster and stronger than it ever has been) I...
My area code is 515. I did all the things that you said. None worked. I think my remote entry module is gone. I might have toasted my SAM as well. I accidently hit the positive bold and the top bolt on the engine connection. I sparked and my horn doesn't go off anymore. I didn't check the fuses...
Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll try that tommorrow. I saw the information in the manual. I'll try them in the order you said Chuck. You were right, I did hold both buttons down and that didn't work.
I locked my 93 viper and when I went out and pushed the button to relaease the lock the alarm went off as I opened the door. Put new batteries in the fob and I still can't get the alarm to shut down. On the dash guage it flashes "ALARM ACTIVATED' or something like that. Do I have to take off the...
I put on tires for the track 17" rims Gen I. Used a sissors jack from the mini van. It was the only thing I could get under then put jack stand under. Seems to be normal, hope I didn't mess anything up? I have the OEM 19" wheels(345/30 ZR19 that I wanted to put on the back. Will this give me a...
I never thought I would have a viper. Like a lot of others I just assumed they were out of reach. I bought a '93 Gen I. The car is fantastic. I thought I would never even get a ride in one let alone own one. It cost less then a new SRT 8 I was going to by after a dealer told me it didn't matter...
I try to keep my classic cars and the viper with a full gas tank. I read that if you keep the tanks full there is less chanc of rust forming inside. So I fill them up over winter and try to keep them full.
The SCCA came out with their new event today. "Dodge Cone" It's all fun and games until the contestant misses and is laid over the hood.
Shouldn't he be running the other way?
Thanks for the compliment, Mike/Juli. There were cars slipping off the road and fishtailing. I was going to stay overnight in Chicago but my cell phone wasn't working and I couldn't get in touch with my daughter and her fiance who were in front of me. I just got the car and it was really taken...
:D Hi everyone. I'm new here. I'll try and figure out how to put a photo of my viper on the web. '93 stock, lots of fun. I have had it since December 2005. (Finally got in the site.) Drove it home from Michigan through a blizzard in Chicago to Des Moines. I think God hears a lot of prayers from...
