No, No, and heck no.
I have launch control on my viper and it rips your dang head off. I get no spin and my times have come down almost a half second off the 60' time.
I have had the BFG and the Mickey Thompsons. The MT's have no problems hooking. I get absolutely no wheel spin and I have been able to get 1.3 60' times.
I could rent my blue twin turbo Viper. It is 2.5 hours away from charlotte. I am thinking $5000. You won't have to worry about shipping, cleaning, trailering, time off work. You wreak it you buy it. 850HP at your fingertips.
It depends on the transmission. I can tell you I don't powershift, but I shift fairly quickly and I have gone through 3 transmissions and they were built tranny's that cost over $6000 each. I don't break loose going into the gears.
My car doesn't spin or burn holes in the asphalt it just hooks up. If your car is set up right, you will get good traction and I am launching at only around 800-900HP, so really not much.

Congrats on the new ride. I think it would be a much better daily driver in terms of comfort and drivability. For the price and the power I don't think you can go wrong with that one.
Congrats. I have been telling people for years that the MT's hook like no other. Every one else is like Invos, PS2's, etc are just as good. I have invos on my blue Viper and MT's on my red. No comparison.
