    jeep grand Cherokee

Love my 11 Grand. You have your choice of two good engines. The V6 is the economical choice. Pulls well and gets 20+ mpg in all around driving. V8 HEMI is the power choice, and pulls even better. Handles really well for SUV. Quiet and comfortable. I painted the recesses in the wheels and think...

No Viper in Road and Track Performance Car of Year???

Best picture yet of the SRT interior. Think SRT really hit that one out of the park. Really a world class interior now. Think some of the Ferrari rubbed off on the Viper : >)

    First 2014 Billet Silver Viper

Black wheels were put on performance cars so the brake dust from agressive pads and hot lapping did not need to be cleaned after every stint. This then was picked up by the street crowd as indicating a race car. Chrome was usually an aftermarket dealer upgrade to provide some bling to standard...

Anyone know when this will be revealed?

Maybe at LA International Auto Show on Nov 24th. A whole bunch of us SoCal VCA guys are going over to check out the Viper Booth. Don't know what is scheduled, but they usually have something cool on display.

Viper production slowed by one third due to sluggish sales

As far as cost comparisons, a factory Vette as fast as the Viper usually costs as much or more than a Viper.

    Yikes...Gen IV window regulator issues...again!

Brian. It is the issue with the 24 hours of Lemans on the cover. Most people have gotten it over the past couple weeks, but due to the mail, you might not yet have received it. I believe VCA is looking into the possibility of putting the magazine up on the web in addition to the printed...

    Yikes...Gen IV window regulator issues...again!

In the latest VCA Viper Magazine there is a 3 page helpful article about this issue. Lots of pictures on the window lifting mechanism.

Viper production slowed by one third due to sluggish sales

Believe the SRT engineers used the plastic covers for the reason most every other manufacturer is using them now. They insulate stray electrical signals from components, reduce component tapping noise from being heard on the outside, and control the heat generated by the engine. I am sure the...

    Service Departrment issues

The first quarter of a tank in the Viper seems to last forever, however the last 1/4 of the tank goes pretty quick. It might have been only a gallon or two that the service department went through (maybe even less)

Let's be real, what would it take? Only short answers please

Following the Tesla remarks, wonder if it would make sense for Viper to make a kick ass 4 door or SUV. Before shouting Blasphemy, the market place for 2 seater sports cars will always be rather small. If the V-10, Viper DNA and technology could produce a high performance, multi seater...

Carbon fiber looks great with the Red. Congratulations on your new Snake.

    Raffle car

Listen please. Few know what kind of guy Dan Everts is, his devotion to Viper and to the club, as well as his personal capabilities. Dan was a professional baseball player. He learned the values of hard work, dedication, and how a team that plays well together can be far stronger than a group...

Old Men Seem to Own Vipers, Why???

Good post SSG. As you have observed, the majority of Viper owners tend to be older. This more due to the cost of the cars than anything else. Now that used Viper are available at more reasonable prices the clubs are getting to include more and more younger members. At some clubs these two age...

    Who has removed sun visors?

I have a wind blocker that I used in my 03. Worked pretty well. Probably still in a corner of my garage somewhere.

    Raffle car

Thanks Dan for clearing this up. Seems that some posters are determined to make something as cool as winning a Viper in a raffle to be a bad thing. Starting rumors without any facts seem to be a favorite tactic of the rabble rousers.

    Game changers

Biggest fail on the new Vette is that it is actually heavier than the previous generation. Their advertising claims they paired every gram, but it still turned out to be a porker. Believe the new Gen Viper SRT weighs LESS than the new Gen Vette.

Gen 5 Carbon Fiber Accesories Status

Making a copy of something is pretty cheap. Investing a ton of money into engineering and wind tunnel time costs much much more. While many want carbon fiber parts because of their look, SRT designed them to improve the aerodynamics of their car to allow it to be faster on the race tracks. (and...

    New Viper teased?

One of the problems with AMG cars is that in a couple years the standard Mercedes model is just as fast and well handling with better fuel economy and smoother more comfortable ride. Really hurts that resale.

    I drove a C7 today.

Still a dog...compared to a twin turbo Viper. (aftermarket of course)

    Who has removed sun visors?

In coupes the visors serve little purpose, and removing them makes the interior much more spacious feeling. In a vert they serve some purpose, but only when the top is down. They can be raised at an angle to deflect wind away from the cockpit, or angled forward to scoop cooling air into the...

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2: Best value these days?

Goodrich is the bargain tire. Pretty stickey too. They are no where near the all round tire a Michelin Pilot Supersport is. Not sure about how they work in rain. They have a pretty unique tread pattern. Looks pretty agressive.
