    ACR convertible option

It needs just a bit more blue tape. ;) But seriously it's definitely close to an ACR roadster. :D

Stripe colors on Graphite Metallic, which one? (PICS)

I'm looking forward to seeing what you have chosen. :D Snakeskin green stripe? ;)

Any pics of the new Green yet?

It's very dark, and from the pictures it looks like a teal color more than something like a British racing green. Still, it looks classy and I'd like to see one with silver stripes.

    ACR convertible option

It would be a GREAT idea to build up the next VCA Raffle car as a special ACR convertible! Make it Viper blue with a black center and red driver's stripe.:drive: I also just thought about the upcoming Ferrari F430 Scuderia convertible when reading this thread. Some people (like me) just...

    ACR vs. Katech Z06 Clubsport

It's no surprise that the ACR Viper is quicker around a race track. The Katech Z06 does look like a nice package, but it's price starts about the same as the ACR Viper, and goes up from there depending on options. And ultimately it does look like a modified Corvette, as opposed to the ACR which...

Stripe colors on Graphite Metallic, which one? (PICS)

Bat definite has had some unusual color combinations in the past, but I've liked them all, and they would stand out even in a groups of Vipers. I'm not sure what the problem is in having a "BIOTCH" personal plate, just as long as you are into BioTechnology.:2tu:

Stripe colors on Graphite Metallic, which one? (PICS)

Are the stripes going to be aftermarket? At least on the Dodge site it doesn't show Viper blue stripes as an available option on Graphite. I'd defiinitely pick blue stripes, even if it was not factory because it looks quite stylish and would defintely be unique.:2tu: As a second choice I'd...

SRT Vert on a race track, do I need a roll bar?

That's the first thing that I thought about when reading this thread. Because Autoform has been making Viper rollbars for years now. What came into my mind was the story (and video) of this guy who called himself Torquenstein, who was running in the 2004 Gumball 3000 race when... The Viper...

    ACR 7.22 at the Ring.

Interesting news. But you would think that if a Chevy fan started a false rumor about a faster ZR-1 Ring time, they would have at least posted that the run beat the ACR Viper's record time. If the Ring is truly closed for the season however it's not likely that any new ZR-1 tests were done.

    ACR 7.22 at the Ring.

As an update, Chevy took their ZR-1 back to the Ring and was able to shave a full 4 seconds off of their previous record time, achieving a 7:22.4 time. Unfortunately for them their new time was still 0.3 seconds slower than the ACR Viper's record 7:22.1 time, which still stands. :cool...

Pics of ACR paint scheme on a silver vert, help me decide

I'm also not a fan of flat black (primer) paint. But the gloss black looks good. Also I'd carry the red stripe down the trunk to the bumper.

    MT ACR Video

Of course his other comments were: "We just made the jump to lightspeed", "It's really a wormhole into another galaxy", "That car is a tremendous amount of fun", "I was so pleased to be driving without all of the electronic controls" and it's "really entertaining, and satisfying, but a...

    ACR 7.22 at the Ring.

The Zonda F had been previously campaigned at the Ring too, and it beat the then record-holding GT-R 7:29 time with a 7:27 time, which was beaten by the ZR-1 during their active campaign with a 7:24.6. I believe that the ACR beat the ZR-1's record time on it's second lap with a 7:24 run...

    ACR 7.22 at the Ring.

EVO magazine recently did an exotic supercar test at the Nurburgring track and they got the following results: Maserati MC12: 7:24.29 Pagani Zonda F Clubsport: 7:24.65 Ferrari Enzo: 7:25.21 Porsche Carrera GT: 7:28.71 Koenigsegg CCX: 7:33.55 teaser: Which means that out of those top $$$...

    PURE SEX!!! ~Street Serpent~

rtigert, I also loved the Grand Sport Corvette and owned a '94 Corvette convertible in Admiral blue. Plus I love Jeff's Street Serpent design as well. I like everything that you have done to your Viper, and the only thing that I really want is to see more pics, especially showing the...

Coupe vs Convertible...am I missing anything?

I don't have a Gen III Viper, but with my Gen II roadster I regularly run at local tracks without problems and local drag strips allow down to 11.5. I would definitely add a rollbar if I got a newer convertible Viper, both for occasional track use and also for better roll over protection. I...

Coupe vs Convertible...am I missing anything?

This really comes down to personal taste and preferences more than anything else. I prefer convertibles, but I live in a warm climate so I can drive the Viper with the top off 9 months a year. But I'd think differently if I lived in Canada, or the northeast U.S. For 2006 I believe that the...

Poll: new ACR with a roll cage, resale question

If the roll cage is cleanly integrated into the interior then it would be appealing to future owners who are planning to track their ACR. I've seen Porsche GT3/GT2s with factory and aftermarket rollcages that are seen as acceptable.:2tu: ACRs are appealing to a small, focused market of people...

    ACR 7.22 at the Ring.

That is what I was thinking when I saw the video. My first impression was that he must have been losing a lot of time by not being in the right gear and hitting the rev limiter so often, but then after some reflection I figured that he was an expert racer, familiar with both running the Ring at...

    186 miles on 15.6 gallons...

My best gas mileage (highway driving, 80MPH, A/C on) was 26MPG! Until after I added 3.55 gears, and since then the best that I've gotten is 24MPG. And in normal driving I average 16-17MPG, but with more freeway commuting than city driving. Of course it drops significantly when driven hard...

    ACR 7.22 at the Ring.

With so much being made of the Ring numbers lately I'm totally relieved that SRT finally took the new Viper out on the Ring to show what the car was capable of to everyone. And they set a record for production cars on their first time out!:drive: Think about it. You guys are talking about the...

My math says an average driver should run 10's in an '08 with good traction

I'm making similar power to the '08 models, but with regular, stock, Sport Pilot tires and (being an average driver) my best time so far is 11.6 @ 128MPH.:drive: Besides some drivetrain and power delivery advances in the '08 model the key advantage that the new Viper has for standing start...
