Why so much difference in S/C prices???

Some interesting data points from the graphs above(just lined them up with my eye so they are not exact). I used a graph from the 8 lb Roe kit (not the one above) to make a more fair comparison as the other two graphs were 8 psi or higher. Note the 8 lb Roe graph was not properly tuned so it...

My 1st Time to Gateway Drag Strip: Results

Shift faster :) are you pulling on the shifter towards the next gear PRIOR to pushing in on the clutch? I was getting your times my first time out then I started pre-loading the shifter, went 12.3 - 12.4 next time out. With drag radials and faster shifting you'll go 11's hope you have a roll...

My experience with increasing crankcase vacuum...Not Good

I tried a krank vent with no problems. This was with the supercharger. No PVC valve (or other air inlet/outlet) krank vent connected to the air box, then to the "T" into the front valve covers. It seemed to have no effect either way (in or out) can't tell a difference.

    Idle Hang Revisited

From what I've experienced idle hang comes from too much air entering into the motor. I've found that the adjusting screw on the TB linkage has a big effect on the idle hang. Just one or two turns and I have major idle hang. Right now it's flush (screw all the way out) and I have no idle hang...

Why so much difference in S/C prices???

Another thing to consider is many people already have some upgrades - headers, exhaust, etc. So if you start from scratch the cost may be close but for your average Viper with pre-existing upgrades the Roe Blower is a good value. Also consider real world performance and racing (1/4 mile)...

    Street Racing law question.....

If the government steals your car then sells it, you still have to pay back the loan. A thief steals your car, your insurance covers it, loan is paid. What a great country... and justice for all  How about this -> you let a friend (son, brother, etc.) borrow your car he gets...

An open forum for Roe Supercharged Viper owners/installers

Some more comments regarding 9&10 fouling. I've tried a restrictor in the bypass valve and it did help. Be careful that it's not sucked into the supercharger, you'll need to secure them in the tube. Various results 7/8" hole - runs good, cleans up #9 a little bit 3/4" hole - runs fair...

Kumho, Cats, and cruddy Dyno reflection.....

A few comments: On the street my REAR Kumhos lasted 8,000 miles. My REAR pilot sports lasted 12,000 miles and the original MXX3 18,000 miles. The sports are sufficient for stock or bolt on Vipers as long as they are new and warm your not going to get much tire spin. The Sports when warm could...

utahviper are you running out of fuel even with the boost-a-pump and 255lph pump? Have you checked the boost at higher RPM's? I get some boost creep at higher RPM's 5,000+ maybe your overboosting? I seem to be running out of fuel as well but think it's the injectors. I have the KB boost-a-pump...

    Smoked a Z06 and a Supra

12.26 is an excellent time, what was your 60'? Those Z06 and Supra times seem about average what I see around here. Supras can't "hook" small engine, peaky HP makes it real hard for them. They are not a good 1/4 mile car, but he could walk you on a highway roll. I have never seen a Z06 break...

please help with rpm window switch

There are 3 connector plugs on the PCM Remove the one closest to the front of the car, find the red wire with a yellow stripe. Educate me if you can!!!!!

A supercharged Viper with 5 psi twin screw will be faster than a 5 psi centrifugal EVEN if they make the same HP Why is this? Because the centrifugal ONLY makes its max boost at red line, below then the boost is proportional to the RPM (i.e. 3000 rpm = 1 psi, 4000 rpm = 3 psi, 6000 = 5 psi, for...

    John Myricks 2003 Viper SRT-10 11.86 1/4 Mile Video

Re: John Myricks 2003 Viper SRT-10 1/4 Mile Video One thing that many forget to mention about the stock Z06's in the 11's is most of the cars were power shifted. Not saying they shouldn't be power shifted but when you compare the Z06 power shifted times to a granny shifted Viper, well... apples...

Who is going to be the first to run Nitrous with a Roe Supercharger???

I wouldn't run propane without a blow-off plate. If you have propane contained between the bower and intake then have a backfire, it has nowhere to go. I don't know if there would be enough propane to send the blower through your hood but it most likely would damage the blower. Just the cooling...

Who is going to be the first to run Nitrous with a Roe Supercharger???

Just curious if anyone has done this or is planing on running a small shot (75 HP) on a Roe supercharger? Just the cooling effect alone would add a nice kick. Using two 35HP jets (one per TB) running a dry shot with just the fuel injectors for enrichment seems like an best way to go. Probably...
