I drove that POS.... It's worse than a Fiero with twice as much plastic.... 0-60 was 8.0 maybe..... no way close to what's advertised.... You switch gears and the entire vehicle twists... seriously....
Ouch.. Sorry to hear about all of the troubles... I'd try to talk to someone directly at Dodge... don't rely on the dealership to provide you with feedback from them. It sounds like you've done some homework.... Maybe see if they'll at least give you another Viper to drive for now.....
That's why I consign EVERY car I sell.... if it's a flat rate or a %.... I don't want to deal with deadbeats... check clearing.... title BS and the list goes on.... plus, if you consign the vehicle to someone who works hard for you, you'll get the # you wanted in the first place without the...
If you know how to drive a euro clutch...... I know some that have lasted 35000 miles.... Mine was a rental so I had a lot of people who didn't know what they were doing... Just the flywheel on a 911 is $ 975, that's COST...... Burn everything up and you're talking almost 3g.... The problem is...
I agree and disagree with a lot of replies here.... It really depends on the situation. Being in the family, supervised and having seat time are at the top of the list. Grant it, there's some 35 year old friends I'd never let drive mine.... AND IT'S A RENTAL..... :)
I'd stay away from the 6 speed and go with a trip. You can't drive a clutch euro car like an American car. They are less forgiving... you can't feather a clutch on a Porsche like you can on an American car..... I had one on a 99' 911 c2 that lasted 3700 miles.... it had to go.....
Anyone have your vehicle's alarm go off say, sitting in your locked garage? It's happened to me 3 times now over the last few months. It just goes off for no reason.
I have it at the dealer now and of course, they can't get it to do it. There's nothing in the computer and all of the alarm...
The sound bites on the site are from a complete system (headers too I believe and for a GTS).... Is yours the "track" catback only? Anyone have a sound clip of that?
Hello everyone. It's been a long time since my last post... I've been very busy with my company... Just wanted to chime in and say that it was NOT my vehicle.. only a handfull of companies actually rent this vehicle. I feel bad for the exotic car rental company that went throgh this problem...
Re: I\'d suggest you go try to start your snake right now.....
Nope... on a charger... that I don't believe in anyway.... as it's a car... yep... a C-A-R... every car I own starts in cold weather even if I don't drive it for a month...
A defective battery... ok.. I could see that....
I\'d suggest you go try to start your snake right now.....
It's 26 degrees here in the windy city and I just tried to start my Viper which hasn't been driven in about 2-3 weeks....
Much to my surprise the car didn't start... and all I got was the worse jackhammer sound I've ever heard.... no...
Re: DC is NOW taking orders for the Ram SRT-10\'s!!
$ 100 for a chance at a $45k vehicle (Instead of a one-of-a-kind 83k vehicle).... AND it's a truck... I think DC dropped the ball here... these tickets won't sell......
Who\'s done a clutch already on a 03\' SRT-10?
I'm looking to put one on the shelf "just in case". How much did you pay for yours? How many miles until yours failed? Thanks.
In a recent thread, someone noted that they put glass packs on their srt-10. Can someone post a step by step process on how to accomplish this. Include all of the parts, part numbers and sizes too. Thanks.
I've owned Vipers with and without run-flats. I personally like the non's better as they offer a smoother ride. I guess it just irks me that rears cost $ 1,000 now, rather than the $ 300 I was used to....
I don't know, to me, I'd rather have a regular tire than a run flat. I know there isn't a spare, but it's a lot cheaper to replace. Spending $ 1,000 on rear tires seems a little too much. Hre's a few questions:
1) Has anyone put put 2002 rims w/18" tires on their 2003 Viper?
2) Can you run...
