Re: 20\' wheels
If you choose to go with 20 inch front wheels, I believe you will regret that decision.
I talked with a couple guys who did the 20's in the front and are very disapointed in how the car handles.
I hope you have plenty of beer to drink when me and the boys show up on the day your beast comes home from Heffners, otherwise I might just remember the above quote! :headbang:
A situation like this is why I would only buy a new Viper from a dealership like Woodhouse, Tators or Roanoke.
You can bet there would have been a happy ending to this story by now!
I brought the SRT-10 out of storage Monday.
Immediately I have a Lo Tire warning.
I checked all the tires and the air pressure is fine. I had actually pumped them up to 45 psi to avoid flat spots while stored.
I did have one tire off over the winter, but put it back on without driving the car.
I...
Each time you remove and replace the wheels, the sensors have to be relearned. (recalibrated with a DRB and a magnet)
I had the same situation, drive for 20-30 miles and the Lo Tire would come on.
The first couple times, the tech would just turn the Lo Tire off with the DRB and didnt relearn...
Warfang, you nailed it!
Give us the car we want and we WILL buy it, plain and simple. Hell, some of us might even buy two.
DC obviously wasnt listening to the Viper community when they committed to the business plan for the SRT-10 Coupe.
DC should stop trying to shove crap down our throats...
Ron were you and your Viper at the Indiana/Kentucky dyno day last year just north of Indianapolis?
If so you have a great looking car!
Casey, make sure you call me when Gary A. is about an hour away from delivering your car, I will be there. :D
Off the top of my head, I think the thread size for the lug nuts are metric, 12x1.5, I am just taking a guess.
7 turns of the lug nuts is 10.5 mm of engagement. (.413 of an inch ) I would think that you would want .708 of an inch minimum engagement. If you eliminate the 5/16 spacers that gives...
Quote"6) I guess I dont understand the 'attitude' some show toward 101% supportive vendors."
Hi Jon B.
Glad to hear the F16 vs Viper was a good show. I would love to have been there.
Jon I am surprised to see your #6 response. I dont see any posts that were derogatory or that implied anyone...
BigCarrot, I love you too..............But I still wont sell you my wheels...LOL
Ps It only took me a year to change my avatar, I think it is your turn now. Let everyone see that Blown ASP of yours. :D

Deans goal is to be different and unique. He gives the customer multiple, very detailed renderings before the project is started and lets the customer choose what he likes.
This car is absolutely gorgeous is person. The owners goal for this Viper was to...
Re: TAOD\'s version of the Copperhead.
I agree with you Alice.
The SRT looks best in Black.
I have also heard rumors that there will be a FJ5 Lime Light Green, SRT-10, with flat black stripes, roll out the doors of TAOD in a couple months. That one could very well set the standard to which all...
TAOD\'s version of the Copperhead.
The upcoming Viper Copperhead has generated so much attention I thought I would post some pictures of the latest Viper to roll out the doors of The Art Of Design.
This is their first Viper to have the Paxton SC installed in house. Previous Vipers had the SC...
ViperGMC, in the original post prevnine11owner states he is now forced to use .312 inch thick spacers. This is unacceptable in my opinion, but again this is just MY opinion. As a general rule of thumb, you want a minimum of one and a half times the stud diameter to be engaged in the lug nut. If...
I personally would NEVER use wheel spacers on a high performance vehicle.
I went with the 20 inch HRE rear wheels to specifically avoid this problem.
You have another option. Others who went with the 19 inch wheels have ground or milled clearance on the e-brackets.
Good luck.
Kaval.
