    Vipers belong in Europe

I agree completely. People in Europe drive (on average) better than here in the states. They are more aware of the surroundings and efficient. They don't have people blocking the left lanes, and if they do, Italy just passed a law that will fine people $1000 dollars for blocking traffic on the...

    precision shifting

It seems to me that the stick shifts that you were used to had longer throws compared to the Viper, so that is why IMHO. You still drive like it's a stick shift to a old truck that the throw is about 12 inches. Once you recalibrate your brain, the problem will be gone.

    Help "LOUD" clunk....

Re: Help \"LOUD\" clunk.... What you describe is actually a loose torsion stabilizer bar. This bar has 2 bolts that need tightening. It did the same to me, only in hard accel. Lift the car and torque them down properly and the problem is solved. Let me know what the result is.

Anyone repaint the dash on Gen I?

Well, I removed my paint and have a CF kit. I'll e-mail you my pics. To remove the paint, I used acetone (nail polish remover) and a wire brush. Took me a few hrs to do it right and calmly so that I didn't break the flimsy dash. Clean it up and have it painted satin black, it will look exactly...

    need more help please

Be careful popping them up with tools, it may warp the thin metal. Best bet is to use your nails to lift from the furthest part of the hinge.

ffoote.....the p/n is 4557538 that is a valid number for 3 of the 5 relays in the car. DON"T LET THEM TELL YOU OTHERWIZE!!! I paid a whoping $15 for the fuel pump relay. Then I dordered a replacement starter relay and that cost $32! It cost so much because it came with a bracket and 2 relays...

    Chinese water torture! Viper Diaper

On fabric, spray the 3M Scotch-Guard, it does well. I douce my sneakers when I buy them. On the other vinyl stuff, apply stuff like armor-all and such.

    What exactly is the phrase?

"Once you try Viper, you never go back."

    Polished engine parts

You shouldn't chrome any part of the engine, since it actually retains heat. Polishing I think is OK, but the plenum is hard to do and I think its magneseum in earlier years like mine. If you do polish, you're married to it...if a drop of water falls on it, it stains it, unless you clear coat...

    Radiator fan question......

I understand what JonB is saying....that pitch, motor size, frequency, and time are all added in the equation to see how much total draw is, and in the long run, it should drain less. This is common knowledge with electric motors and their loads. Takes more electricity to start and less to run...

Intemperate Disposition...yes, still have the F50 ffoote.....the part # for it is the same as the P/N as a 89,90,91 caravan minivan, and it costs way less. I'll give you the P/N for the fuel pump relay when it gets in tomorrow. It cost $32!!! So far the rigging works. Acatala7 and Gary...

    Hi-flo cats

John...you can remove them completely. I went with the Sean Roe 3" exhaust kit with the oval hi-flo cats since norms are different in Italy and I plan to take my car there early this coming year. The temp change is very noticeable when they are replaced. The stock cats are so restrictive it is...

    Got towed today.....(long)

I hope that no one on here has had the experience that I went through today. It started out nice, a run to the printers, then the UPS, and then it happened... I was stopped at a light and the car just "bogged down" and I didn't even hit the gas or anything, it did it itself. I quickly turned...

Could someone quickly measure the diameter of the Viper tire?

On a 17 inch rim, the diameter for both the tire and rim (275-40-17) is 26 inches. Sorry, I have a '93 with 17 inch rims. Hopefully someone will measure theirs for you.
