Here is a quick history and some explanation behind this system.
About a year and a half ago we decided to design and build a twin turbo system to make really big power on the order of 1500-2000 HP. We knew we needed to start with a clean sheet of paper, with a cutting edge design following...
This is a post to introduce the first DIY front mount twin Viper turbo system that is fully upgradeable. This is a true Bolt-on kit which requires no cutting or modifications of your stock Gen 2 Viper!
We have conceptualized the most complete system in terms of the big picture of...
...Yeah, prepare that with some gauze pads and some 3 in one oil...Liddy, Gordon Liddy..... Gordo, the engine is down here....... Don't tell me my business BOY!!!!!!!! Just trying to get a bird's eye view!
:headbang:
I have read all about the Aluminum flywheel and 3.55 gear debate over the years and have come to some conclusions through my personal experience:
1. In regards to the aluminum flywheel, I would have to say that the car definitely pulls harder and more consistently with the stock steel flywheel...
Re: Actual Dyno of Paolo Castellano\'s 1512 RWHP Dyno!!
Stugots, 1512/.87 = 1737.93 1278/.87 =1470.11. If that is the case, all I have to say is booyoyoyoyoyoyongggggg! Or as they say in Wayne's World, " Schwing!"
Re: Actual Dyno of Paolo Castellano\'s 1512 RWHP Dyno!!
STUGOTS, do you mean it shows 13-17% lower than a dynojet? That seems really low! I do not know what the actual # is to be honest. I just know the Mustang reads lower!
Re: Actual Dyno of Paolo Castellano\'s 1512 RWHP Dyno!!
Freddy, I want to keep those details to myself for now. It is definitely not a Lenco or anything like that!
Re: Actual Dyno of Paolo Castellano\'s 1512 RWHP Dyno!!
Viperspray, I will show you the meaning of Scary! I will scare myself as well! :2tu: :headbang:
Re: Actual Dyno of Paolo Castellano\'s 1512 RWHP Dyno!!
Jay, thank you for putting up this post for me! As you can see I am getting on here pretty late!
ANdy98RT10, I do not see why it is not street legal!
Stugots/Casey111, I am glad you like it! You can definitely come along for a 0-225...
Blownasp, One thing I really want to do with this car is take all my VIper brothers for a ride and show you all just what this kind of power feels like. So anybody who is in the Chicago area is welcome to come out and get the ride of their life!
Casey, I look foreward to you coming out my way...
Stugots, Anytime!
Casey, did you move to a different state since the last time we talked? I can go to Indy and back from my house in less than 8!
Go Fast, you are right! It feels great, but there is a lot still to be done and accomplished!
I will keep all posted!
Jay, thanks for posting for me as the website was down when I tried to post this morning!
1Meansnake, you will love turbos!
Gerald, I would like to believe I have the baddest Viper on the planet as would every fellow Viper owner deep down inside! I think it is too soon to make any comparisons...
Re: Paolo Castellano\'s TT Viper Dyno Results 1753 RWHP/1758RWTQ!!
Jay, I was just breaking balls regarding some people's predictions, that's all.
I did tube the car to idle, throttle response, A/F/etc last night breathing exhaust fumes which probably put me in a goofy mood to post what...
Carl, It looks like you used the isolators that have a metal stud at either end with a rubber sandwich between them. Those isolators you used screw into the threads at the base of the pump right? How did you make sure they will not vibrate loose as there is really no way to torque that end...
99RT, That is very well done, butI would not advise putting the pump where you have it. All it would take is a rear end collision and you could go up in flames!
AB I am glad you called Earl Miller per my recommendation. He is one of the most knowlegeable people I have spoken with throughout my entire twin turbo design, engineering and fabrication process. They send me only the highest quality product. Their turnaround is usually the same day. They are...
Stugots and Hisserman, :2tu:
Nadine, the idea is to do ASAP. The P has just taken longer than I thought and wanted. I have also built more than I imagined I would or could when I started the project!
Isaac, I might have some more pictures out in the near future!
Nadine, I have the ductung/shrouding taken care of. I just took everything apart and apparently never took a picture with all that put together!
Txlen, looks good, sounds good and GOOD LUCK! :2tu:
Casey, I was just wondering if you had gone in for the surgery yet. YOu have to let me know how...
Hello all, I just got in from working on the car so I will try to make it brief and go into more detail tomorrow.
First of all, I would like to thank Jay for posting the picture on this site! You are THE MAN! I appreciate it immensely. I will call you tomorrow!
Jrkermode, This is an old...
Ron, I have called Duttweiler's place and the girl answering the phone calls him Kenny. I think I talked to him once and he was starting some Viper project with a motec. He likes Motec a lot. I am sure he really knows how to use it. I should call him.
I remember he reversed the intake and...
Duane, no matter what car I am driving, I am always ready to compete.
==> Sure, I got smoked by an Acura Integra RS(who grabbed rubber on the 1-2 shift) and a VW Touareg V-8 with my hemi V-8 pickup truck, but I have opened up the can of whoop-ass on some ricers through the winding country...
