    Arrow rebuild - Question

Mine goes back to Arrow on Monday. From what I have seen on the board previously, it will come back better and stronger than ever! Arrow does a great job with the rebuilds.

Here's some VERY exciting news from DODGE! 100,000 mile warranty included!

Re: Here\'s some VERY exciting news from DODGE! 100,000 mile warranty included! Just bought a new PT Cruiser a few months ago, will this 7 year warranty be retro to the 2002 models? Otherwise, I will have to buy the extended warranty, doesn't seem right, as we missed out on the 0% financing...

    Crate engines

Yes, the Gen I crate engines will be gone shortly. I believe they are going for about 10,500 or somewhere in there. Check with your friendly local Dodge dealer for specifics. If you want one, you had better act fast, after this supply is gone, there will be no more Gen I crate motors...

Will a 1997 Grand Cherokee Laredo with a V-6 be enough to tow a Viper?

Make sure you have a tranny cooler too! You can get them at the dealership or aftermarket ones are also available. Is it a new V-6? I have seen Vipers pulled from Chicago to the Gingerman with Cherokees with straight sixes in them, and they struggled with them at times (hot summer days...

    A motor question: PLEASE HELP!!

If the engine was "replaced" under warranty, it was probably removed from the car, and sent back to Dodge. Dodge then sends them on to Arrow Racing in Detroit to have them rebuilt. That is what is going to happen to our '94 engine yet this week or early next week. I also understand that it...

Engine going back to Arrow for rebuild

It's official, Dodge is sending a crate to the dealership to send the engine back to Arrow for a rebuild. Oil and coolant leaks around the heads were found, and that's what did it in. Am I ever glad I got the extended Chrysler service contract, or I would be one unhappy dude at this point...

Rut Ro- Oil Leaking from head gasket!

I don't think that it's that easy to do, yet. It has to run the gamut so to speak, before any rebuild can take place. However, I am trying to gather as much info as I can ahead of time, there have been some other instances of rebuilds, and I want to know ahead of time, how those other...

Rut Ro- Oil Leaking from head gasket!

Took the Viper in for the winter oil change today. Kelvin, my Viper Tech, had put dye in the oil last change because it had a slight oil leak, and that is the best way to track it down. We found it leaking oil at the head gaskets on both sides, and possible coolant leaks too. I still have...

    End of season get together

We were invited to a late season get together of Vipers from Indiana, KY and Southwest MI. What a difference a week makes! Last Saturday it was well over 65 degrees F, beautiful weather, this weekend it is 37 degrees F, grey skies, kind of dreary. Anyway it was a wonderful meet, 8 cars showed...

    96 RT/10 Value????

Rick, Check the classifieds on this board for a comparison in pricing and miles. There are many Vipers listed in the classified section, and it gives you a good cross section of pricing.

RT Owners-Soft Top or Hard Top

Don't have a hard top yet, but I plan on getting one soon. The soft top is a pain to pack in the trunk, takes lots of space (what little there is), and we do have the V-Mania windows, and we love them. I fold the soft top opposite of what the owners manual shows, and that way, no pins or...

Why are the BFG's G-Force tires so much less than the Michelins?

Re: Why are the BFG\'s G-Force tires so much less than the Michelins? Yep, Michelin sure does own BFG, but I wonder why the difference in price? Do the G-Force tires wear as well as the Michelins? I know this had been discussed on this forum before, but I can't recall how long ago and if...

    Gen I engines going...going...gone

Got a call from a friend who works for a Chrysler dealership nearby, and they got a notice that the last of the Gen I Viper engines are being closed out by Dodge for the tidy sum of $10,900 each. this is the last of the new Gen I engines, and when they are gone, there won't be any more new Gen...

Why are the BFG's G-Force tires so much less than the Michelins?

Why are the BFG\'s G-Force tires so much less than the Michelins? OK all you tire gurus, is there really a big difference between the Michelin Pilots and the BFG G-Force Tires? Why are the BFG's so much less than the Pilots? They seem to have the same speed ratings, is it due to less tread...

    Meeting Viper owners while traveling.

Just got back from a trip out East to Rhode Island, and had the chance to meet ACatala while there for a bit. We made the trip to visit family essentially, and while out there, got hold of Tony and we met for a beer and some dinner. I had never been in a GTS before, so Tony hands me the keys...

RT/10 Viper Model from Car Collectors Club

Did anyone else receive their RT/10 Roadster from the Car Collectors Club recently (ad was in last edition of Viper Mag)? It is supposedly made of the same material as the real Viper (RTM fiber reinforced plastic), and not a metal die cast model. I found it to be very well detailed, even comes...

Where to search for Vipers in Michigan?

Rick, E-mail me, I also have a source for Vipers. He's out of state, but it would be about a 5 hour drive or so for you from the Detroit area. We bought our '94 from him 3 years ago. Another place is to check right here on the Viper site in the "Classified" section. True, most of the cars...

    V-Mania windows

One side of mine (passenger side) is still too tight, and I am also afraid to file it any more. Once the season is over, I will send the windows back to Biff for any adustments, etc, that might be required. He has been more than helpful already, and is always more than willing to work with me...

Looking for Viper(snake) related license plate themes. Help out here>

I might be mistaken, but isn't there a special plate avaialable through the Illinois Viper Club with a snake on it? Or was that just a one time deal? That alone makes the plate look very different.

    The shadow of greatness... (photos)

Chris, Hey, wait a minute, aren't you a moderator, ya gotta tell us more about that Porsche at the gas station. I saw a bunch of those coffee tables last January at CAAP! Don't think any of them were for sale however.

    Question for all viper owners...

I had to wait a fur piece before getting a Viper. Got interested in Mopars a long time ago, but raising a family and living from day to day was hard enough, never even considered a car like a Viper (Hemi Super Bee or Hemi Cuda was my dream machine back then). Now, the kids have their own...

    Hardtop

I belive that Bruce is now into two different tops for the Viper. He is a great person to work with, we bought our '94 RT/10 from him just about three years ago now. God, I can't believe that it's already been three years that we have had our Viper. I'll never get tired of it, that's for...

    Storage questions

I follow the recommendations in the owners manual. Put the car up on carpet blocks, have the oil changed before storage, clean the car inside and out, cover it, put a trickle charger on it, inflate the tires to 40 psi, and really don't even use a fuel stabilizer, as the car is not away for all...
