Personally, I would start with headers and exhaust, then do RRs, especially with the 708 cam.
Toddy's recommendation are all good, in that order, with RRs between exhaust and gears.
What are your plans for the car - mods, HP, use, etc?
No card reader on the VEC1.
It was simply 2 knobs for adjusting timing and fuel. It didn't work all that well really. Sean doesn't even recommend using them any more.
I think some of you are getting the VEC1 confused with the VEC2/3. The VEC1 was a completely different unit. It looks and functions totally different than the current VECs. The VEC1 was completely mounted inside the car, usually near the driver, with the afr gauge on the steering column. The...
Well the VEC1 does tune timing, so it has to tie into the ignition system somehow.
I can't remember now because its been awhile, but the VEC1 wiring all taps into the harness right at the PCM. I would trace them out from there and under the dash and make sure they aren't pinched or shorted out...
I would call Sean. It doesn't look like those injectors were meant to work with the stock manifold.
As for your other questions about sensors, you're going to have to be more specific or add pics, because I can't understand what you are asking about.
This reminds me, I also put painters masking tape around the windshield on the body of the car because, as I watched them starting to cut the old glass out, I could just imagine that sharp tool slipping and gouging the paint. So I stopped them and masked around the windshield on the roof and...
I didn't think you were s/c??
So you are now running your Roe on the SCT and your previous results were with the VEC??
What pulley are you running and are you still on cast pistons? I thought you ran a big shot on N2O?
I think there is some missing info. Was there another older thread on this??
I just had mine done this past winter. My glass guy is a good friend so I trusted him, and I stayed there to watch it get done.
He found a great deal on a genuine Dodge windshield and it came with the molding. I would think you could order it from Dodge if you didn't get it. Call Chuck ;)...
I didn't think many people had issues with leaking oil pans if they just replaced it with one of the new reusable ones like you bought.
I would just recommend replacing it like specified, with the RTV in the corners and on the bolts, and torque it down to spec, and it should be fine.
I also...
Jance, if you are having trouble with room for the MAP sensor bolting to the manifold, then just pull of the little vacuum elbow and route a longer piece of hose to it and relocate the sensor to another spot. On my Roe, I had it ziptied to the cowl bracket about 3" away.
Yeah yeah, we all know that I was sitting right next to you and had the next number in the sequence lol!
You should have won the Viper clock like you were supposed to and I would have won the Belangers!
At least they went to a good guy
Congrats Ted :D
I talked to Sean about this when I bought mine.
He recommended what Tony just said - 3-3.25"
The total amount of oil is 125cc and it takes 5W-50 Castrol Syntec.
I made my dipstick out of 2 popcicle sticks in a T shape and marked a 3" line and a 3.25" line on it so when I set it in the plug...
Got this awesome pic of me driving the Nurburgring ACR on the track from Pictureman above. Tim took some great photos, you should check them out, you might just find one of yourself like I did.
