Interesting 99 Black ACR on eBay... belong to anyone here on the board?

Am I crazy? This thread is like many others where the bidder is concerned about the car, but bids anyway, SIGHT UNSEEN. Do you understand that a bid, if accepted, is a contract? YOU, not the seller, are in the wrong if you decide not to buy the car because of some unseen flaw or unasked...

    Sweden & Superchargers

Sean, Kudos to you for one of the best technical explanations I've heard. Most tuners probably refuse to share this kind of info due to fear of copycats or, even worse, their own ignorance. I have no desire to copy your work and am even more confident now than ever that you know what you are...

    STORAGE IN DFW AREA?

$150/month for enclosed and climat-controlled storage is not too bad, IMO. How good is the access at the antique mall? Could I readily come & go? I could use some extra space myself.

Who thinks the SRT 10 will have 1st year problems?

Well, the 1992 and 1996 did not have any earth-shattering problems; in fact the 1996 is regarded by some as having more power than later GTS models. Then again, later cars were more refined. At some point you have to pull the trigger and buy a car - they keep getting better so deal with it.

    Official Update

My dealer did note that the cars he has on order have changed status recently, so perhaps that is an indication that the cogs are turning again.

Death of the Daytona Rolex 24 Race

Oh, and for you sports fans, do you watch only when your favorite team plays or because you like the game? And while I am at it, your Viper does not have too terribly much in common with a race Viper, so it's not as if a winning Viper shows some kind of superiority of the street car. Even...

Death of the Daytona Rolex 24 Race

Actually, I woudln't mind if Grand Am became the NASCAR of road racing; did anyone here even hear about, let alone go to, the ALMS race at Texas Motor Speedway? I would estimate that fewer than 10,000 fans showed up. If Grand Am knows how to get fans and TV coverage, then more power to them...

John, I got my brochure on ebay, of all places. I wrote myself a note and I'll try to bring it in to the office and make you a copy. Email me at [email protected] with your address. Keith

    Wideband A/F Meter?

MoTeC, and fjo are great, but consider this: http://techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/default.htm I bought the pre-built unit, and for under $500, I have a WB that replicates chassi dyno data. It includes a RS232 output for data logging and a digital display. For the DIY person, I highly...

    GTS vs. ACR Suspension

JonB is more knowledgeable about parts, but $7K for the Konis! Aren't the Konis the model 2812? Direct from Truechoice, the 2812s are something like $800 each at full retail, so a set of shocks should be more like $3200. You will still need spacers and hardware for the spring mounts and teh...

just how quick is a 03 S/C Mustang

Ah, the old production-stoppage slam. I hear the sound of breakage from our very own glass house. At least an '03 Ford product has been delivered and seems to make the advertised horsepower and then some.

Wide Band O2 sensor and gauge - CLASSIC

I suppose it is possible that a 4-wire sensor could be WB, but I really doubt it. I am also shocked to see 14:1 A/F in any application, let alone forced induction. Others can correct me if I am wrong, but 14:1 is flat dangerous in forced induction. You would want to see more like 11.5-12:1...

Latest News Flash, Dodge renames the Viper (misc. ramblings)

What a bunch of Stepford Viper Owners Oh, DC is wonderful! Oh, I'll wait until the end of time so my beloved Viper will be perfect! Oh, how dare you be critical of the wonderful DC even though it is about two months after delivery of cars was officially promised! I read Herman's post to ask...

Can someone in Texas look at a Viper for me? Did I get a good deal??

Nice, Chuck. You are a scholar and a gentleman. What's wrong with suggesting that someone inspect BEFORE bidding, heeding the ebay warning that a bid is a binding contract if it wins?

Don't Hold Your Breath! They're NOT Coming Out Any Time Soon?

Re: Don\'t Hold Your Breath! They\'re NOT Coming Out Any Time Soon? While I, too, am willing to wait, I am not quite as charitable as others. First, D-C announced the car long ago and is, after all, in the business of designing, testing and building cars. It would have been nice to have...

Wide Band O2 sensor and gauge - CLASSIC

I also have the Techedge Unit and it works very well, with an RS232 output to data log. The NTK sensor can sometimes be hard to find; I ended up scouring local NAPA stores and paid about $250 for the sensor, and about $280 or so for the A/F meter and display unit, pre-built. The unit is...

    Alignment

I would recommend .5 - .75 camber front & rear, 1/8" toe in front & rear. Definitely no toe out in the rear! I have never heard that toe out will reduce negative camber wear; if anything, I would expect the extra scrub to increase wear. I have a C4 and '93 RT/10 and you can forget the two...

Miser! Widely known as one! I resemble that remark. My finish was also due to a turn 1 melee that I luckily escaped. I hope we get a chance to run next season and you can take me to school at the new track (Mid America or some such) or perhaps Heartland Park, or Hallett? Let me know your...

Bob Woodhouse ITE champ at ARRC

At today's American Road Race of Champions at Road Atlanta, Bob Woodhouse took his Viper, brought it to ITE specs, and proceeded to win his class and drive well into the GTA (similar to Trans Am car) class in a spelndid, smooth and impressive victory. He ran laps in the 1:33s in qualification...
