Welcome to Viper nation!
It may sound weird, but your life will change in some ways that may take a while to become apparent.
Now, to have some REAL fun, sign up for the Viper Days event nearest you and learn how to really drive the car, safely AND fast.
I can't recall the name of the guy who shipped Bugeater's race car to him three years ago. He specializes in Viper shipping, uses a Dodge Cummins & Trailer combo.
Can anyone provide his contact info?
TIA, George
Saturn, eh?
Sun Ra's abductors/hosts/longtime male companions must be the same star peeps who grabbed Bugeater and revealed to him that his home planet is Uranus.
You ain't brown-cappin'...that's just Bug coming out for a morning stroll.
Thanks for the responses, folks.
The car has either SVS or B&M shifter (the guy I bought the car from couldn't recall which...Bugeater...but he probably installed it while either drunk or distracted by browsing NAMBLA websites anyway). I'll have to yank the console and boots to see if it's...
Every now and then, my car will pop out of reverse. 32K miles, lots of track miles.
Bad tranny mount? Tranny getting ready to ascend to worn-out parts heaven?
I'm looking for advice on what to check when I lift the car and yank the belly pan to inspect.
TIA, George
Bernie - me & Tom (you met him...he bought Dale's silver GTS) are gonna get a group together to cruise up there for your event. Looking forward to it!
Hey - Dale wants to know if it's OK if he brings his two toy poodles, "Bette Davis" and "Spartacus."
John - here's some info on Mopar Madness. I've been a Tidewater Mopar Club member since 1990. Great club. You'll get some 1/4 mile runs. When I had my SRT-10, I ran it heads up at that event against my ACR with a bud driving. That was fun. We swapped cars, etc.
Event name: Mopar Madness...
That was a great time!
Howard, many thanks to you and your wife for setting that up. That was a great track, and well-run. The same owners have a track near me in the Tidewater area. We used to go as much as once per week.
The 'Vette club folks were great. I always enjoy meeting car...
I've had all three Gens, and have logged over 100K miles in Vipers in the last 10 years.
The simplest comparison I've experienced was at VOI9 driving a stock 2002 RT/10 back to back with a 2006 SRT-10 coupe on the autocross course. The differences were immediate and apparent.
The SRT has more...
George! Cruise Control??
See...that's how it starts. Next it's Lattes, wearing your sweater with sleeves tied around your waist, donning green golf slacks to water your petunias, reading the Washington Post (aka Peoples' Daily Worker)...
