    Racing Stripes

Awesome instructions on the Illustrated Upgrades for these stripes -- congratulations! Question: Do you need a heat gun, or can a high watt hair dryer heat the vinyl enough? Thanks!

    MotorMat in action (pics)

cycloneGTS: You probably already received your MotorMat (they ship really fast), so I wanted to let you know that you can make your life a lot easier if you use a circular saw to cut the tiles. The instructions say to use a utility knife, but that is very painful in large quantity. The...

The retractable air hose is from Home Depot. Get this, only $50 and that includes the hose and everything you need! Incredible price in my opinion. It's mounted to a 1' x 1' board that has 3/8 carriage bolts. The board is then screwed to a stud with 3 heavy duty wood screws. The retractable...

    MotorMat in action (pics)

Well, after many months, I unveiled my newly remodeled Viper garage this weekend at a outdoor birthday party at the house. It was a big hit. I started with your run-of-the-mill "hell hole" garage. I like to think of it now as another, inviting interior room that is a fully functional garage...

I think that I broke something [HELP]

on a 2002, you can not turn off the check engine light without a trip to the dealer or getting a hold of a code reader... don't even bother trying all the suggested "unplug the battery for 200 hours and stand on your head" solutions that only work on older models...

    More Efficient Viper Air Conditioning??????

Another aspect is the large amount of outside air that is sucked in under every a/c setting. Put it on the snowflake (the least amount of outside air) and feel the rush of outside air going into the hood vent. Consider that the outside air being sucked in is well over 100degf in stop and go...

Why no Vipers in any magazines

I took a glipse of that R&T issue in the store. Toward the back, they have a little blurb with the picture of a silver GTS. Basically, the blurb says if you don't have a Viper you're screwed because it's the king of the road...and it's getting more HP for 2003...

    Too tall for a Viper?

JonB, do you sell the seat lowering racks? I am interested in the 1" model. I would like both the driver and passenger seat to be lowered. If so, what's the pricing look like?

    Is this your R/T?

When I lived in HK in 1997, I hopped the border to China to see a 4 hour BPR race. All the cool cars were there, including this Viper. It was the loudest Viper I have ever heard. Is it yours?

Why didn't they just chrome them....?

Re: Why didn\'t they just chrome them....? onerareviper: Maybe what you are missing is a clearcoat on those Purners. You wouldn't want to use a metal polish on the painted surfaces of the stock wheels. To refinish the stock wheels, the clearcoat has to be removed then repolish and paint. I...

Why didn't they just chrome them....?

Re: Why didn\'t they just chrome them....? I wouldn't say that the warranty reading for the chrome wheels reads any differently from polished or painted wheels. Brake dust and road salt are killers for any kind of nicely finished wheel...As is improper handling...So I didn't read anything...

Why didn't they just chrome them....?

Re: Why didn\'t they just chrome them....? racewheel: Try http://www.calchrome.com I have bought from them before with extremely reasonable prices, fast, great service and a 2 year warranty. They re-chrome wheels no problem.

Why didn't they just chrome them....?

Re: Why didn\'t they just chrome them....? Polished wheels aren't exactly maintenance free...My car is only 6 months old and it already has the white hazing inside the large spokes. If chrome goes bad, you re-chrome. If the polished goes bad, you re-polish. Probably at the same cost per wheel...

Need paint code for 01 yellow....

Gee...He likes the Viper Race Yellow better than the Vette Millennium Yellow?? I had a yellow '00 Vette, and while the Viper yellow is nice I don't think you can beat the Vette's for shine and depth... The Vette yellow supposedly requires a special paint process which could be a factor in the...

    Skip-Shift Question - Rehashed

I can only confirm (from experience) that the check engine light turns on and stays on for 2001 Vipers...And then you have to go to a dealer or spend $300 on a scan tool because none of the other techniques to turn off the light work for (at least) this year... I can't speak for any other years...

Brand new viper, already having problems?

JonB: I feel like putting your words in my signature "2) If you had purchased a new 2001 Bentley or Rolls, they have already had 2 urgent recalls for FIRE HAZARDS." It kills me whenever I read the "I expect more from a $xxx car." You will see this on every board even the Maxima board!

    I Will Kill That Mouse

The glue traps with a single peanut in the middle make a delightfully, wonderfully, horrible way to kill these little terrorists. Just place a few along the walls where they run around as they work their way to your car. Make sure they are the extra large ones. If the trap is too small they...

    Having Hard Time Selling

Price may be an issue...I have read messages on this board of people buying the higher MSRP GTS for $69K new. Why would they want to spend another $1K for a used car that lists for less?
