Hi all,
I am moving from Philly to Salt Lake City (Draper actually) in June, are there any Viper heads in the area? Is this an active Viper region? Not that I participated in a lot of events last year, but I hope to have more free time this Summer...
While we are on the subject, I do have a V1 wiring tip for those of you with an RT/10. I velcroed the "direct-wire power adapter" to the back of my rearview and then tapped into the power wire going the mirror. This way it makes for a nice clean setup when you have your V1 attached to the...
Wow, the V1 rear view thing is really slick! Thanks for the ideas. I like GaryA's idea of putting it in the A/C vent, but I don't think it will work for the SmarTire system because the SmarTire display has three buttons that are fun to play with... or maybe I just need skinnier fingers ;)
So, I just installed a new set of Kumhos and along with them a set of SmarTire sensors. Does anyone have any ingenious ideas on where to mount the remote display for my SmartTire System. I also figured if you have the remote display for your Valentine 1 in a good spot it would work for the...
If you go without a spare, I would suggest getting a tire pressure monitoring system, like the SmarTire System. This way you could see potential problems ahead of time. I just bought one for my RT. I will be installing it this weekend. In fact I just started selling them on my web site...
Hi, live right on the Langhorne/Newtown boarder. You, Matt and I should hang-out some night, we will be happy to answer all your questions. When you get your snake broken in, you'll have to come auto-x'ing with me. It is a safe place to learn the limits of the car...

Re: In GTS, is it normal to have wind noise coming from the window at 60 mp
My car is loud as hell at 60 MPH...
Oh wait, my car doesn't have windows, they have been sitting on the shelf in my garage for the past two years... sorry.
A word of warning to all who just carry fix-a-flat. If you get a slow leak, you may not notice that one of your rear tires is low on air. When the air pressure gets under about 10 psi or so all that torque will break the bead on the rear tire even when you are not stomping on the gas. If you...
Hi Joe!
I pay around $1200 a year for the ol 96 Viper (12,000 miles on her) and I am 25 and my wife is on the policy and she is 22. I assume you should be able to get a better rate than me... I have nationwide I can give you my agent's name if you wish. He seems to be able to consistently...
I took may car to Buhler Dodge, turned out to be an 1 hour 15 minute ride. But it was worth it, they treated me real nice and my car was treated just as nicely. They updated the software on the PCM and the engine seems to run a little smoother now. I will definitely go back there for all my...

My warrantee is up later this month and was wondering if it was worth it to get the "top of the line" extended warrantee. As, the viper does not have that many "bell and whistles" that could break. (no power mirrors, stuff like that...) Should I get the basic powertrain warrantee, get the "top...
Well,
I live about 45 minutes from Barbarra and 1 hour from Buhler, so I think I'll take the extra 15 minutes and try a new place for service. Thanks everyone!
-Sean
Ok,
I think I am going to take her to Buhler Dodge, does anyone know who the person is I want to ask for, at Buhler, when I call?
Thanks Again,
-Sean
PS. Thanks again Ron for the info!! When you need tires for your "normal car" let me know, I'll help you out!
It seems may car may be experiencing a problem associated with TSB 18-15-97
"Intermittent hesitation between 4 and 5 thousand RPM."
"Intermittent malfunction indicator light (MIL) with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC's)."
I thought the clutch was slipping, as every once and a while, under...
Yup,
When I take my car out at lunch time, I keep track... yesterday it was 2 WooHoo's, 1 OhhYahh and 1 Thumbs-up... an average day. I have a Red RT/10 with yellow wheels so it really sticks out.
Have fun and be careful!

Re: She\'s not getting slower, they\'re getting faster...
MES,
Thanks for info, your site is very informative. Is there any difference between the GTS and RT engine in 1996? I think they are both rated at 415 HP, but the GTS's with no mods seem to be putting out more power that the RT's...
I saw a set of metal ramps in sporty's catalog that will work. I personally jack the car and use stands, but it think I am going to get some ramps... There is just something unnerving about having a 3300 lb. monster 3 inches from your nose while working under it.

Re: She\'s not getting slower, they\'re getting faster...
Wow!
Thanks for the great comments. So if I go with high-flow cats and a Snake-Oyl rear exhaust assembly like Matt has (I have heard his car and I like it) what are we looking at in terms of HP gain?

She\'s not getting slower, they\'re getting faster...
Hi everyone, first official nice day around here in a while so I put the my 96' RT/10 back on the road today. So, I took her to work and at lunch-time stretched her legs a little... I want to comment on how there are so many cars out there...
Thanks Joe and Sean for the info.
Ok if the flashing light gives you 2 digit codes, I believe I have it right this time...
12
14
71
55 <-- I'm not sure if this is a real code or just a signal to tell you that there are no more codes.
Do THESE mean anthing to anybody?
Thanks again!
