And here is why:

They were right about the towing not being recommended. Just not the reason. There was no need to do all of the required hours of testing on a standard version (clutch=weak link) when they knew an automatic was on the way.
My talks with the head of the SRT-10 Ram program and this announcement of the '05 SRT-10 both say that your dealer was wrong about the reason for "towing not recommended" being on the '04 6 speeds.
Re: SRT10 Ram ........ if you work for DC warranty, don\'t look here :)
That was the One Lap of America SRT-10 Ram.
Here's the word from the engineers that were driving the truck in the event:
Engine Mods
-Custom 34" equal length headers mfg by McLaren
-Burns Stainless 5 into 1...
Yes. Less room under the hood. If there was room, a gen II intake would be the ticket for a Gen 3 motor. One thing to keep in mind is the gen III intake gasket is considerably thicker than the gen II gasket. Where is the missing material? From the head or the intake?
Ok. I wasn't very clear. Bolt size is not determined by the size wrench that fits it. You posted above that the bolt sizes were 1-1/4 and 13/16 and that's not correct. Your posts could be confusing because you have writen "bolt" size when you should have posted "wrench/socket" size.
But not for long.
Hector at Northwest Dodge has done work on my SRT-10 Ram and my sons SRT-4. He also did several cam bolt service actions. I would definately go to him again.
