It does not surprise me. I am sure over the years we will see many more 200k+ odo readings. It's just another reason to not sell your Vipers. If I do not procrastinate, today I will change my oil and be back on the road for the summer and work towards that goal. Kudos to the owner of that 200k...
I took the pics with a 5 megapixel digital camera myself. The day was a litttle overcast that I chose but they still came out great. The poster has one large shot aimed at the passenger rear 1/4 and also 3 smaller shots underneath showing different angles. I had the poster professionally done...
When I first got my Viper I disassembled it a few times till I gave up. Now I just take it off and put it on in my garage and hope the weatherman is right. I'm afraid disassembling it every time will wear it out fast but my patience wore out first.
I first check tires for deflation. I pull it out and let it idle for a good while as I dust it off. I try to keep it at idle for a while to give the engine a chance to cycle some oil through it at low RPM to minimize metal on metal friction. I lightly rev it later and then take it for a slow...
Since the GTS and ACR were both priced incrementaly above the RT/10 MSRP then proportionally they should be depreciated for now. In hindsight, I got exactly what I wanted and spent less than those that wanted a GTS or ACR. The ACR looks killer but driving topless is tough to give up if I...
The skip shift started on Chevy brand 6 speeds before 1992. Worst idea put on a car till my 95 Ford Mustang locked automatically when started. Scraping the ice off the windows while the car warmed up has never been the same since then.
Personally, I vote NO on TT. I think the aftermarket like Heffner, RSI, Underground, etc does a great job modding the Viper after reading the satisfied TT Viper owners comments on this site. Leaving TT to the aftermarket is more cost effective for Chrysler as a whole especially since the NA...

Lots of work went into that car I am sure. Tough market today. Personally I would enjoy owning it for at least a year and get some use out of it and then sell it. The extra mileage you put on cannot significantly lower it's value. See it as cheap transportation. Today...
Personally I can't understand how Cerberus or Chrysler can afford to close any dealership if they are profitable regardless of sales volume. If the people in the South Salem NY area prefer foreign vehicles like Chuck has stated then it is up to Chrysler to win those customers back with the...
I rented a yellow 95 in Vegas 5 years ago for a day. They did take measurements on the tread. The car had numerous wear marks on paint already. Got it up into low triple digits in the desert with nobody around. I mostly wanted to feel the acceleration when dounshifting on the highway...

Did you get your Viper through hard work or inheritence. I agree that all work and no play is a waste of life if taken to the extreme but many who don't have the same opportunities, skills...
I had a full size poster of my Viper made with a combination of 4 photos I took. I do not have an office but it is on my living room wall. I think it is really cool to actually own a poster-worthy car and have a poster of it since I have had multiple car posters over the years.
Re: Another Viper Is Probably Done In 09 Tid Bit!
I also am sick to death of these death rumors. I vote that any more far fetched rumor starters just be:flush::banned:or :censored::nono:
Nobody really knows the future but Chrysler :eater:

I read that the hemi headed V-10 was too wide for the Viper engine compartment but was considered. Personally I am impressed with the fact that Chrysler kept the V-10 alive and added hp and...
My suggestion would be to keep the car and send it to Heffner for a Twin Turbo and no longer worry about anything from the factory. More money will be spent upfront but 10 years from, you will still have a killer fast car ABD .
