Re: Any truth to the rumor that late 97\'s have....
Thanks for the replys guys. I thought I'd hear from JonB and perhaps Dean. Although I don't have a grey beard (have owned a Viper for only 3 years) I do try to keep fact from fiction. I was hopeing that this question would not place me in...
Sean and Dan,
Thanks for your input. It's nice to have a civil discussion regarding the merits of each system. Both of you are class acts!!! Keep up the great work....Kurt
If you need a good viper tech in the area, I would recommend Keith Laxson at Huffines Dodge in Lewisville. Many people use Keith exclusively!! Send me an e-mail if you need more information. This is a great area to own a Viper. You'll get plenty of help. Let me know what I can do for ya....Kurt
Any truth to the rumor that late 97\'s have....
a different cam? Like many, I have heard that the OE cam was outsourced on the late 97's, thereby providing a more "aggressive" cam in these cars. Anyone know the scoop? If there was a different cam, when did the change take place? Thanks for...
My understanding is that the dealership which sell Vipers must have a qualified Viper Tech on their staff. Keep in mind that this does not always mean that this is the best person to work on your Viper. Check in your area and I'm sure that you'll find the preferred Viper Tech.
Also, the Viper...
Just a quick question regarding the technique of using spray paint by putting it into a jar and then brushing it on (people from previous thread did this). How does this help minimize brush marks? I know that the spray paint is thinner, but wouldn't it be better (though harder) to just spray...
I just had my drivers side door hinge replaced because it would not stay open on its own (have 14K miles on 97 GTS). The hinge was black. Hope this helps....Kurt

I believe that the 3" Corsa states an 18 RWHP and 32 Ft lbs. increase with their cat-back. Sorry, but don't know if that excludes any model years, althought I don't recall hearing that it does.
I owned a 94 RT for several years before getting my 97 GTS. These cars are night and day different!! Both are unique in their own way, but I would not use a Gen I as a daily driver. Both cars have been great and reliability has been tops. Good luck with the insurance!!
Re: The moment you\'ve all been waiting for: Treynor vs.
Ben, congrats, that was awesome!!!! Now, someone needs to help the Supra come up with a new idea for another liscense plate!!
MES,
I'm not totally sure, but I believe that the 17113 is the "old" style Borla header (I could be wrong, it happened once before ). I have been waiting for the Borla Header that Dan Cragin helped test (similar in style to the Belanger). I have spoken with Sean Roe, but he does not have...
Try V-Mania and Autoform (both are sponsers, I think - so check the sponsors link). Both are very nice products and a great improvement over the stock side curtains. Let me know if I can help....Kurt
