I ran the Borla cat-back with stock cats for a year before switching to the RT high flow cats. Never had an issue with melting the side sill before the change and the sill is MUCH cooler with the RT high flow cats!!!
Purner 19\'s - When/will they come in 18\'s?
I like the new Purner 19 inch split 5 spoke. Anyone know if there are plans to make this same wheel in 18 inch?
Jason,
I had about 43K miles on my 94 RT before trading it in for my 97 GTS. I never had any major issues with the car, not even the known gasket issue!!
I would say look for the best used viper with the lowest miles you can afford and go from there. Like you said, you can most likely get a...
OOPS! I ment to say that an H pipe is easy to install, but really prefer an X pipe. My issue is one of correct fit. The Borla is straight pipe back from the side sill resonators, but can I just purchase an X pipe and put it where the rear mufflers were at one time??
Re: Help! Want to buy a delaer buy-back 97 GTS for 32K many Q\'s
Classsic case of look before you leap!! Take your time and find the car that is right for YOU! I concur with the above comments completely and do have Dan take a look before putting any money on the table!
I know that I can add an H pipe pretty easily, but would prefer an H pipe if possible. Anyone know if/how this would work with my Borla catback? Thanks for your help!!
Saleen-Explorer,
I love the Belanger/Borla set-up. Just looking for a little different sound and have heard that an X pipe may do the trick!!
Thanks for the threads!! Was the second one supposed to be different?
I have a 97 GTS with Belanger headers, RT high flow cats, and 3" Borla cat-back. Was wanting some information on adding an X or H pipe and how this would change the sound (ie. louder, deeper)??
Any comments would be appreciated!!
Craig,
It cuts the spark/fuel when I let the cluth out all the way. If the car is idleing with the clutch in, it simply dies if I let out the clutch within a couple of seconds!
Everything has been fine in the past and then I get into the car last night for a drive. Idle with the clutch in and all is fine. Once I let the clutch out, the car dies. Did this several times, with the same result.
I then took it around the block. Everything is fine until I let the...
Re: Possibly Buying a \'94 - need help
I like the "Passenger Airbag"! Having owned a 94 RT, this must have been an option in 95!! LOL :)
If your going to sell a car, at least get the basics correct! shesh
Todd,
I took my 94 RT there and they had trouble getting the software to work correctly. Many of the club members, including myself, have used 21st Century Muscle Cars. Keith also had a good suggestion......Kurt
Any loss of power by adding the x-pipe? I also have the Borla cat-back and would like to know more about this!! How hard would it be to add this to a Borla cat-back? Costs?? Thanks!
Re: Possibly Buying a \'94 - need help
New tires a MUST.
Having owned a 94 RT, the $42K is pricing from 2-2/1/2 years ago and should be reduced to mid $30's!!!
Many issues with this car as pointed out. No black interior on 93's, hood, rims, general condition. I would never purchase any car in that condition regardless of the price!!!!
This topic has been covered seveal times and you might try doing a search for some detailed information.
I have found my 94 RT and 97 GTS to be very reliable and with routine care should serve you well. There are many very nice pre-owned Vipers for sale, so take your time and find the "right"...
That is a yellow/black ACR, but not with the GT2 wing!! Looks like a partsrack wing to me. The GT2 wing is thinner and has smaller end plates. I have pics of my car, but you asked for yellow/black and not red/white. Hope this helps.
