Re: Look what\'s back on the auction block
Isn't there an issue with transfer of original manufacturers warranty (only transfer once?)
Anyway, beautiful car, and I'd love to own a blue/white GTS, but I'd want a driver not an investment.
Seems like it would be tough to route this without causing (more) ground clearance issues. I remember someone posting that they had done this when I first got my car/joined the board in 96. Maybe that was FE065?
I like the idea though!
Re: What\'s the fastest stock ET for a 92-96 RT/10 ?
One of the Gen I RT/10 guys ran ~12.5 in a stock car, if I remember correctly. In St Louis area, and works for Dodge (in the truck division) I believe.
If you can get a 1.83 60' time like in your WS6, you should be in low-mid 12's.
Best I did...
PSilverGTS - that is a good price, assuming the car was in pretty good shape!
Congrats and welcome!
ChrisXoxide - good luck selling the car and buying a house.
Finally got to line up next to another Viper (it was a black Gen I also, but with skunk stripes) in a perfect spot to run. I got the jump, but he was right on me. I go for second, and miss it. He pulls away laughing. 3 minutes later, I'm making a left turn and downshift to second. Shifter comes...
I did the school at Sebring a couple years back w/ the Woodhouse crew, and it was AWESOME! Good front engine/rear wheel drive cars (Panoz), great instructors, 3 days of track time (full track) and a really great bunch of guys. I wish I could bust out the $ and take the time off to do it again in...
Madman,
As a local San Jose guy, and a Viper owner and S2000 fan (my brother-in-law in San Jose has an S2000w/ a Paxton supercharger) I welcome you to the board.
Congratulations on your new ride! Enjoy!

they have so many different ones you won't know what to do with yourself.
I bought a newer style that is made from a thin material (superweave). Very light gortex-like material. Works great, and takes up a LOT less room than the one I originally bought for the Viper. Not...

1Meansnake - I think it looks great! Lowering it will definitely make it look even nicer.
THOR - here is a cut/paste that someone did for me. I was considering Gen3 wheels at one point.
Re: \'97 GTS Questions??
SVSi and B&M make nice short throw shifters. The SVS (newer model) has a heavier spring which assists in the 2-3 shift and 4-5.
I went the other direction. Deleted the covers, and had the slots for covers filled. Never liked the look of them, and when I take the car on track I just tape up the lights.
What finish did you use? Gloss, satin, somewhere in between? Would you do the same again, or a difference finish?
Thanks for any input

When I first bought my 94, I swapped the stock mufflers for some inexpensive free-flow mufflers. HUGE difference in sound, and got rid of the heat in the side sills. I took the suggestion of many on the old VCA board and put glass packs (yep, that's right) and used those for 5 years and 30k...
I asked if they could mask off or not coat the raised lettering, and they said they could (at the 2 local shops I talked to that had someone that understood what I wanted done). I was thinking that polish and clear on the raised parts would be cool (or just polish and clean up once in a while if...
I know R&J. Bought a hood pad from them. I am still waiting on it because they had to send a new one because DHL lost the initial one!
Trying to avoid shipping of possible.
