The car is perfect the way it is, some complain of the interior, for a track car its more than enough. If you want it nicer, have it draped in leather or suede or carbon fiber, we have already paid 90k, whats another few k.
I think you would have to polish it first. Then turn it. Would look cool. I have so many hours into it already, my wife is starting to wonder if I truely am in the garage.
I just had my Viper (non ACR ) 08 for a long trip this weekend, no such problem. Maybe your foot wanted to step on the GO pedal more than you realized.:)
Thanks for the link, thats exactly what I'm doing. It is a looooong process. I have some dremmel work to do and I'm up to 400 grit on the intake. It is quite a long way from being finished. Will need to go to 2000 like he posted. for a true shine.
So has anyone else done this yet? any tips?
I picked up an extra intake manifold, cheap and just started stipping it this weekend. Man this thing is huge.
Anyway, the coating on this thing sucks to get off. At least i'm down to aluminum now and just have to shine it up, if it looks bad I...
Break the law and there are consequences. Kill someone while breaking the law and things turn more serious. Do it while being a sworn in police officer on duty and things should be worse. Yes they should be held to a higher standard. All professionals are.
Have we all done 94 mph or more...
Here in Jersey, Troopers dont pay attention to traffic laws on or off duty. More than a few friends are troopers from anywhere from 14 years to still wet behind the ears. Their attitude is " whats the local cop gonna do, issue me a ticket, yeah right."
I think the last time cops behaved...
I'm sorry but if I doubled the speed limit the ticket would be for reckless driving, I would be cuffed and car would be towed.
Then the pain of prosecution would begin. Without friggen pay....
If you have ever run into that towns cops, too many are pricks, but some are genuine nice guys...
Ebrake pads dont wear that much normally. If you dont hear any grinding then the bearings are probably good, or are just starting to go and only make noise under load but probably not. This is a common problem on vettes, clutch packs go and they grind when you do a circle 8. Let us know.
Jack up the rear and turn the wheels, do you hear anything. Is the piston on the e-brake caliper shot and not retracting? Is is only happening during turns? Clutch pack? While the rear is up, make sure everything is tight.
Well, they are just trying to drum up business. They would have sent this to everyone who had purched a vehicle from them, so it is not like they knew you just bought a viper, they just knew at some point you bought a car.
The scary part is that the Italians just dont understand our Viper. Their sports cars are magnificent but over engineered, costly, and overly well appointed. Plus maintanence is a mortgage.
I dont see them being all warm and fuzzy over the snake.
A 50,000 dollar investment with enough...
Is 5.5 million or 10 million for the assembly plant only?
If its just the plant and equipment it is still a good deal. But what would the cost of the CAR be.
Meaning the complete operation. Inventory, parts, and most importantly name and intellectual property. Basically the ability...
Thats not exactly what I meant.
Yes you can train anyone to do any job.
But you are still getting parts from union shops, or Chryslers union parts bin.
So the question still is, can you ( will they let you) build it outside the union workforce. It is easy to say f@@@ em, just do...
Agreed. And as a seperste entity without the long term expenses as union retirement and health care it may in fact not only be profitable, but sustainable.
The back end has caught up with these companies and is a part of their demise. At a clean start without those contracts a business...
