Question regarding lurching while cruising

I drove my 08 ACR about 600 miles this weekend and noticed something and wanted to know if this is normal.

While cruising in 5th gear on a smooth highway at about 80mph, every 30 seconds or so the car would seem to speed up for a second. It did this constantly. The car has close to 3000 miles on it so it should be broken in.

Is this normal?

My 08 (not an ACR) does not do this. The ACR has the same engine and driveline as a non-ACR car.

I just had my Viper (non ACR ) 08 for a long trip this weekend, no such problem. Maybe your foot wanted to step on the GO pedal more than you realized.

No power mods, Woodhouse did install their motor mounts and MGW shifter.
