    '08 Viper has landed!

My dealer shipped my new blue/white convert to my residence after dark last night, around 6p.m. So my photos are not up to par. I'll get some daylight photos today or tomorrow and post them. But this is the smoothest shifting Viper I've ever owned, including my '05 with Hurst shifter. And all...

    Horrible Dyno Numbers!! Why?

Upper rpm's seem to be rich; what you want is about 13 to one, whereas my '05 got down to a rich 11 to 1. Maybe a Dan Cragin reflash is what you need; that's what I'd do if I were you. Been there; done that. Good luck getting the correct air/fuel ratio. By leaning it out some, but not too much...

    Where are you in Louisiana????

2008 Blue/white roadster due in Franklinton this Sunday or Monday :). I've been Viperless for nearly 4 mos. now, suffering withdrawal pains. Woodhouse is shipping it in from Blair, NE for about what it would cost for me to drive up there and back, and LESS than it would cost to fly up there and...

    Where are the 08s ????

Being Viperless since August, I'm past ready to take delivery on mine. I think it was a great question: Why haven't they shipped ANY '08 Vipers yet?! They are made-at least mine is-and I can't understand why the longer wait....

DC Performance, we are here to help.

Why don't you open another shop, in Louisiana, so I could spend my life savings suping up my Mopars? That IS what I would do if you weren't all the way across Texas, on the left coast....

    stock shifter issues?

The Gen II and III will both use a Hurst shifter, and this added to the short throw MGW is the way I went with my Gen III. I had used an SVS shifter with short throw MGW lever on my Gen II. A friend with dual turbos drove my car with the Hurst and was so impressed with it that he got one for his...

I heard a rumor, said to be great,

LeeOOblack recalls in my haste to compare editions, I mistakenly went back to Gen. II rendition. They had no power mirrors to my recollection, but I forgot, my Gen III had power reflection. Schulmann: translation of original message-I want my damn car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard a rumor, said to be great,

Kenneth O Kenneth, Could you explain how you know it, or are you too shy or just plain too stoic? I'm hoping your feet are not where your mouth goeth, and your Viper's not as slow as your terth reply showeth. :) (all in fun, son.)

I heard a rumor, said to be great,

it spoke of a Viper for 2008. So strong was the story-said to be true- that I ordered a convert with white stripes and blue. Alas, I wait in consternation, hoping to rejoin the Viper nation. I pine away with only reviews, but I'm overcome with a case of the "blues". Oh when will my car be...

My sincerest condolensces for the loss of one so precious and loving. I have 3 daughters, so I can empathize with you, though it is impossible for one to know the grief you must be feeling. God will help you through this when no one else can, so please call on Him to help you. I am praying for...

    Viper Tech

Dean, good to hear from you. I'm glad they treated you well, like they do me. Mike Annalaro also puts Paxton s/c's on hemi's and vipers. See you soon, I hope. My '08 b/w convert is in J status so it should be shipped soon. Reggie

thinkin of selling my 06 vert what can i get?

I was offered $58K for my '05 Viper with 25,000 miles on it. Ask Jon B. at partsrack to get a better idea of what your car should bring. I would guess it should bring $65K before the '08 Vipers hit the streets. Then it should diminish somewhat.

What's faster, the old Comp Coupe or the new ACR?

with 1.5 G's of cornering, the ACR should hold a decided advantage-not to mention a top speed of 5 mph faster than the Gen.II. The ACR will kick butt against everything but six-digit exotics. Of course, the Comp. coupe IS a six digit car, but doesn't have the horses without mods. MHO.

    Should we be really concerned?

It could get better by GETTING TO THE OWNERS!!!!!

    Should we be really concerned?

Okay, let's say Lee is right, and the Viper will go on forever, or close to it. Nevertheless, I've had my '08 ordered "forever" (months without a Viper seems like forever), it's been put in J status for a couple of weeks thus far, and yet I'm still waiting without a Viper, frustrated as H*** and...

    I paid $90,000 for this????

The ashtray removed, you instantly have a cupholder in the Gen. III. Nobody ever told you that? Good driving, by the way. I'm glad you dusted those cars. :)

    2008s Rolling Off the Line

When I posted Tuesday that the cars were rolling (MY BLUE CONVERT included in Monday's run), no one seemed to notice. Ole Dave told Dorothy to click her heels together, but she's in Kansas and I'm in Louisiana. Sorry, Dave. I'l try to do better next time-but no promises....
