This kit comes with a 3.5mm line in jack which I partially forgot about. *facepalm*
Yes, you could certainly play Pandora via that but I'm not sure if you'd have to unplug the phone or not to enable the port. I'll find a cord and try it out tonight.
If I lock both my keys and my wallet in the car, then I am royally screwed. lol Time for AAA or someone to give me a ride home to pick up the true spare.
Had my key copied at a local store with their automated machine and didn't have any problems. *shrug*
(Wanted a no-plastic dumb key that I could carry in my wallet incase I locked the keys in the car away from home)
Did you buy it to be a garage queen or did you buy it to drive it?
I bought mine to drive it. It's a 2008 that only had 9400 miles on it when I got it 5 weeks ago but that hasn't stopped me from putting another 1000 miles on it from driving it around town (no road trips yet). Just enjoy the...
On a coupe? It's a no brainer -- stripes.
On a convertible? Looking back I'm quite happy that I found a blue no-stripe convertible before I found a blue striped convertible.
That said, on a black car I've always though stripes looked better. They break up the car a little. Still looks good...
Worked like a charm! :D
So the only issue left is that it's an iPod kit and not an iPhone kit (i.e. it's designed to control it via the radio) but I pretty much knew that going in, especially since the kit came out pre-iPhone.
Factory 2008 tires so not the run flats, just normal Pilot Sport 2s. 345/30-19 and 275/35-18.
Ah, good to know. Having the dealership save them for me then.
I'll take proper tread pictures, etc. once they're off the car. :)
I'm replacing the factory Pilot Sport 2 tires (manufactured in July 2007) on my car with a set of brand new Pilot Super Sports. Is there any value or reason to hang onto the old tires? Plenty of tread left but they are 5 years old (one of the reasons I'm replacing them, besides switching to a...
I had a pretty much identical experience with Intercity Lines but I sucked it up and waited it out. Ended up taking about 4 weeks but I couldn't be happier with the actual service, besides the delay of course. I guess they don't get many orders to this part of the country.
I may go that route eventually but for now I wanted to stick to the stock look. I never use the thing when driving around town anyway, it's only for the long boring road trips when I'll need it. :)
Thanks, I'll check that out. Someone else recommended something similar. I didn't realize that was an option.
The other thing worth noting is that since it operates in radio-control mode only (not iPhone interface), I believe this means you can't play Pandora and such over the radio. For...
I spent this evening installing the kit. My radio's model number wasn't listed as one of the compatible radios but it's model number was only slightly off the older RAH model that was listed (my model number was higher, so a newer unit than the one that was out when the ancient kit was sold)...
I did this once with my Mustang, while the car was running. No spare either. Not fun.
I made sure to make a dumb spare (no plastic or anything) and carry it around in my wallet from that day on. Just a few dollars at the local hardware store.
When putzing around town, I sometimes like to shift at 3-4k RPM so I get to hear the exhaust better. I often won't get out of first until 35 MPH or so. It varies though, especially when it's wet. Other times I'll shift into second super early and then get reminded of the skip shift feature.
