That sounded pretty rude (probably unintentional) You mean you might grace them with your presence.
At any rate, thank you for the invite D but will be out of town. Would like to meet up with all of you guys one of these days.

It was great to see Archer win. It really pissed me off when that bonehead (I forgot who it was, I think it might have been the Caddy) spun Woodhouse out though.
Why would you think that a car with a bent frame would make a great dedicated race car? It will never drive correctly again no matter what anyone tells you about their ability to straighten it.
My guess is $15k but would advise him to re-think the parting it out strategy.

David (and anyone else who paid by credit card):
you dont need him to credit your account. You simply need to call the credit card company and "dispute" the charge. The credit card company will fax you a form to fill out (you provide the return shipment documents) and your account will be...
I'm glad it worked out that way for you. I never seem to run into the cool ones, although I did have one want to run me once, unfortunately I had my 8 1/2 month pregnant wife with me and couldn't do it. Talk about a license to speed.
Jeff:
You definitely would want to go with a custom shop to build you a cage. Think of all the troubles people have with the "off the shelf" roll bars. Those problems would be compounded heavily with a full cage. I really don't even think the cost would be significantly more. There are...
Very nice Jeff. I would have liked to have been there to watch.
You do know that you'll get kicked out for 9 second runs even with the roll bar dont you.
I dont think that is valve train noise, I think it is detonation from all the oil getting into the combustion chamber. You need to fix that asap. Add puke can between valve covers and airbox. I also had to run the pcv (orifice control) into the same puke can to fully correct my problem. Good...
Wow, what an incredible amount of work you've put in on this one. Great job. I'll look forwrad to hearing more about it.
BTW, thanks for the input on my oil burning issue under hard braking. We did have to re-route the pcv (excuse me, orifice control) in order to fully correct the problem...
I don't remember their names but I believe they were involved in the filming of your meeting with the Supra /bike/vette
Unfortunately I cant make it Friday. I do look forward to going again (hopefuly when the air is better)

Jeff, whoever reported the 11 above was wrong. I saw him run a mid 10 second pass. It wasn't his car so I'm sure he took it a little easy (I know he din't launch very hard because I saw the 60 foot was a 1.9) The biggest part of the bad times was the air. It was hot and very humid. Everybody...
Jason Heffner got the best et of the day with a mid 10 second run in one of the two twin turbo cars he brought (they were something to see and hear) . The heat and humidity was so bad that everybody's time and mph were way off.
Phil
As always, it was a well organized event and I think everybody had a great time (I know I enjoyed myself). The weather was not good for racing (too hot and humid). Everybody's HP was way down from lack of air. Most folks were running about 6-10 mph shy of norm, subsequently of course ets were...
Re: What is it that the stock ECU
Drumrboy:
You would be fine if that POS tuner in Chicago didn't break into and ruin your after market DFI. You definately have to get either a vec 2 or another programmable add on to get those numbers right. As previously stated, the stock comp is not going...
Not locally it's not.
Got this from aol weather this morning. Saturday is not looking quite as good but I think we'll be allright.
Friday (24 hours): Partly cloudy. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the mid 60s
Hot but not as hot as it has been the last few years. Unfortunately, I think the humidity will be high too. I'm looking forward to it no matter what the weather is.

I have the opposite (but similar) problem. Mine goes to full but the tank is empty by the time the gauge reads 1/2 full. I've had the whole fuel pump assy changed twice (under warranty) and tried a number of other things all to no avail. For the past 2-3 years I just reset the odometer...
JKViper, this is a great event to get started with. it was the first event I did as a new Viper owner and I've been doing it every year since.
Absolutely you can bring the kids, they'll have a great time too. You dont have to race to have fun at this event.
