I'm running the Michelin Pilot Sport 345/30-19 on the rear and with the stock 3.07 gears it results in an effective 2.94 ratio. With the 3.73s and the 345/30-19 tires I'm effectively 3.58 (or so) and I love it. It does not just spin, it accelerates great and does not make the car hard to drive...
leasing sucks. I made the mistake of doing this a few years ago and canned the lease after few months. it sucks because your car is really someone else's and they tell you what you can and can't do.
just buy it, and buy it outright if you can.
my opinion, why would you want a hacked-up hood with vents and awkward ports when you have a clean smooth awesome looking hood already.
I don't think the swap is a problem, though.
agree with JD, I just used southern gear for my diff work.
JD, is Jon still working on VIPERs? I think there's a VIPER Tech at Marietta Dodge and I know there are some at Palmer Dodge. I do not have any experience with either of these shops as I do my own work.
hardest part was squeezing in there. I don't work fast and it took me about 3 hours total, including removing the airbox and figuring out how to run the lines. it did help that I know that area of the car well after replacing a power steering pump and the radiator & fan.
I had the car out this...
honestly, I expect the only benefit to be they last longer. I'm also certain any motor that needs a spark plug change will run better just because it gets new plugs. I noticed a big difference in the engine when I changed the plugs last year (replaced with stock plugs).
and what's with GenII...
Passed a Red GenII RT/10 on Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock, GA today on my way home from the mountains. I know David with the Red 96 GTS, another guy with a silver GTS, and Morris with the 95 RT/10, but this is a new car.
Anyone on here?
ANYTHING that effects the final gear ratio effects the speedometer calibration, that includes chnages in gear ratio, different overall diameter tires, etc.
the rim size doesn't matter, only the overall tire diameter. for example, the stock 335/35-17 has an outter diameter of 26", I believe the pirelli you listed is very similar in overall diameter and would not cause a problem with the speedometer. However, the 345/30-19 that I am running on my...
Quick history of this problem. Here's the first post when I noticed the issue:

and here's a recent post regarding the installation of a cooler:

I wonder how much of the improvement wasn't just replacing worn plugs. I know when I replaced the my old plugs with stock ones I noticed a big difference. I may give these a try and see how they work.
