www.radarbusters.com is known to have a real ****-on for Valentine. I am guessing that since he cannot sell the V1, he may as well bash it to make his products look better.
V1s win every magazine test, are updated at a reasonable cost, and have the most helpful arrows. Plus, I have found...
Maybe off topic, but isn't CAAP the previous site of a Champion Spark Plug plant?
And...seems to me that only where the plant is, the street is actually Conner Avenue...isn't it Conner Road elsewhere? I guess C R A P was a bad abbreviation.
That's always a great event. Haven't missed it since it's inception. But...if you do not have a room yet...you're probably out of luck. It's usually sold out by February-March.
On a flat black dash of an earlier Gen II...use only a damp cloth. Do not use Armor-All or any other type product, as the dash is painted....NOT molded in color.
(Later Gen IIs with the textured, pebbly look dash are molded in color.)
Avoid plastic and vinyl cleaners as well as it couls...
I have used Dawn (the version without hand lotions, etc) as long as I can remember BEFORE I polish the car. It helps cut grease and wax. Then again, I also put some baking soda in the water those times to help neutralize anything on the finish.
Lots of the guys that say how bad Dawn is for...
I think it has alot to do with washing with hard water. When it is running and drying along a concentrated area...it will leave mineral trails.
I use a CR Spotless water de-ionizing filter to wash a rinse. This allows you to not even have to dry the car.
You could use a leaf blower (electric)...
I know that most people are oblivious to anything around them...and frankly, they only care about themselves. The guy that cut in front of you and ran his washers probably was completely unaware that he was being an a-hole. When that happens to me...I just back off.
ALl you need is to pi--...
Had another thought about the whole musclecar thing.
By and large, the folks that are interested in these carsa a baby boomers. As they get a bit older..they're not going to care anymore. The younger generation is much more interested in the rice cars..and could care less about musclecars.
We...
I've had two Superbirds, and a Road Runner convertible. While they were great...they just aren't Vipers.
I would not talk anyone into keeping an older Mopar now if you are thinking of selling. I can;t imagine the market getting any better than it is now to sell. And...there's going to be a...
A bit off topic but...Baz...a friend of mine has a Daughter named Shelby too. One day, he was playing the game Gran Turismo and said he'd use the Shelby Cobra. His son Dave seemed dissappointed and wanted to know if there was a "David Cobra" as well.
I think most of that footage was shot in 2004. If memory serves me, the 69 1/2 lift-off hood Road Runner and Super Bee reunion was in 2004....35th anniversary.
It's really hard to predict....Vettes are still mass produced but older ones bring pretty good money. Especially the rarer versions.
That's one problem Vipers will have to address. At least with older Mopars there was a myriad of engine choices, color, etc...and Ithink that makes them a bit...
Geez....awesome story. Loved every minute. And first...please be careful and come back safe. Thanks for what you do.
And now...I was single when I got my Viper..so no boobs, or any other strings were required.
I can say that my G/F loves it if I make the Viper run. I think if she were in it...
Dan...yes. I have yet to hear mine go off in POP, (maybe it has and it offers the same warnings for the different bands) so I can't say what the sound is.
A bit more on POP detection from the Valentine site...
"Valentine One has full-time POP™ Protection. Just plug in, light up, and you’re...
Here's my understanding.
The Police are supposed to use POP for "monitoring". Meaning...they can use POP (that most detectors don't see) to "find" a violator. The idea is that when they actually hit this vehicle with the "real" radar signal...it's too late.
Detecting POP is a big deal, as you...
The newer V1s do indeed detect POP.
Also according to MPH...the POP mode is NOT to be used for writing citations...just for monitoring traffic speed. Apparently, it won't hold up in court.
I too tried an Optima for my 2000 GTS...no go. I went with an Interstate as well.
I have friends with an auto parts store. They sell Optima and Interstate. Lots of Optimas come back well before the warranty is out.
I think the best thing for a Viper battery is a Battery Tender of other slow...
First of all POP is a very fast radar signal used by radar guns made by MPH. The idea is that the signal hits your car and comes back to the gun faster that a detector can see. Newer V1 have POP ability. When the V1 starts up...it will show the letters P O P.
According to the MHP website's info...
SnakeBite...here's my .02.
If indeed all the damage is on the underside of the fascia...a good shop can just color paint the underside and blend over the edge. Then, clear the entire fascia.
If the color match is close, a blend around a corner like that would make it nearly impossible to see...
QuickV10...not looking to argue...but the paint maker will indeed play a part ion how the color matches..or doesn't.
My shop mixes their own, and tints, etc for a good match. We found on a '96 GTS that no other company but Sikkens had the correct metallic flake for a perfect match.
